After everything, Vince McMahon is attempting a WWE return as he wants to sell the company. Also, Ronda Rousey against Becky Lynch seems off.

Vince McMahon Tries To Return & Sell WWE

Over the summer, the unthinking happened when Vince McMahon retired from WWE. Although, the decision came after The Wall Street Journal published how Vince had covered up sexual scandals with money.

Since then, the company has dramatically improved. Both fans and the talent liked what Triple H was producing.

Now, there are reports that Vince is trying to take back control of WWE. Then, he would sell the company to an unknown party.

Coming back into power will not be easy. He does have majority in voting power, which is his biggest win.

When Vince retired, he named George Barrios and Michelle Wilson to WWE’s board of directors. He needs three other directors to vacate their positions and board approval.

If he can pull off all that, then he once again becomes WWE Chairman.

And, Vince is not denying the news. He even sent a press release about the decision.

“WWE is entering a critical juncture in its history with the upcoming media rights negotiations coinciding with increased industry-wide demand for quality content and live events and with more companies seeking to own the intellectual property on their platforms,” said McMahon.

“The only way for WWE to fully capitalize on this opportunity is for me to return as Executive Chairman and support the management team in the negotiations for our media rights and to combine that with a review of strategic alternatives. My return will allow WWE, as well as any transaction counterparties, to engage in these processes knowing they will have the support of the controlling shareholder.”

He continued about looking forward to working alongside Barrios and Wilson again.

The Wall Street Journal continued how Vince wanted back in December. While WWE said they would work with Vince, they opted not for his return.

When Ronda Rousey returned, a match with Becky Lynch seemed inevitable. And, that seemed like the plan until Charlotte Flair returned and defeated Rousey for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Remember, WWE initially had Rousey and Lynch to meet several years ago at Survivor Series. Lynch suffered a broken nose and was replaced by Charlotte.

All three met months later in a triple threat that headlined WrestleMania. On that evening, Lynch left with two titles.

As for the recent change in plans, Lynch’s side is not as interested in the match. Instead, they wanted the bout for WrestleMania 35.

Considering WWE is short on female talent, the two should eventually cross paths. It just does not look like WrestleMania 39 is the right location.
