Chris Pratt Blames Viral Beekeeper After He’s Stung In The Eye By A Bee – ‘F*** That Bee Lady’

The Hollywood star Chris Pratt took to social media a few days ago to reveal that he was stung in the eye by a bee after he was a little too inspired by the Texas-based beekeeper Erika Thompson, who is well known online.

Pratt’s Bee Sting

“So I’ve been following this bee lady on Instagram. She’s so cool and brave and she goes in front of these hives of bees and says, ‘They’re very calm today,'” Pratt said in a video posted to his social media. “‘I’m going to remove the bee. I’m going to use my bare hands to sift through the bees and look for the queen.'”

Pratt went on to say that Thompson’s videos have “built up this false sense of security in me, to whereas I said, ‘I think I can control bees too.'”

That’s why Pratt decided to get up close and personal with some bees himself. 

“So I saw a beehive two days ago and I went towards it and the man standing next to me said, ‘Hey careful there’s bees’ and I said, ‘These bees look very calm,'” he stated. “And I just stared at these bees and one of them come out and stung me in the eyeball.” 

Pratt proceeded to take off his sunglasses, revealing that his left eye was extremely swollen.

“So, anyway, f**k that bee lady,” he concluded.

Thompson Responds

Daily Mail reported that Thompson herself fired back at Pratt in the comments section on Instagram, making a funny comment about him providing the voice for Mario in the upcoming Super Mario Bros. movie, which comes out on April 7. 

“Wait—so now you’re going to be a plumber and a beekeeper @prattprattpratt?!” Thompson wrote. “If you leave saving the bees to me and other professionals, you can focus on saving the Princess, Mario.”

Other Hollywood stars had some fun at Pratt’s expense in the comments section as well, with his brother-in-law Patrick Schwarzenegger simply writing, “LMAO.”

“Which eye?” joked Sean Hayes, with Jason Kennedy adding, “I’m not laughing, I’m not laughing, I’m not laughing… I’M LAUGHING ??.”

Pratt’s Prank Goes Wrong

This is far from the first time that Pratt has found himself in a compromising situation. Earlier this year, he revealed to late night host Jimmy Kimmel that he decided to pull a prank on the set of his show “The Terminal List” by burying himself alive, but it quickly went wrong in a big way.

“I s–t my pants — that’s how committed I was,” Pratt admitted, according to The New York Post. 

“There’s one scene where my character James Reece gets caught in a mudslide and so to get the shot the last thing we did was me essentially getting buried alive,” he continued. “So I’m laying on about a 45-degree angle, buried up to my head in dirt and what they’re going to do is cover me with dirt. I’m breathing through a straw and they use an excavator to dump another big bucket full of dirt on top of me in the shot and I’m supposed to crawl out.”

Pratt then decided to prank his co-workers by making it look as if he was actually in trouble. 

“I thought it’d be funny if I just don’t move for about 30 seconds,” he said. 

Unfortunately for Pratt, however, his face soon fell down into the dirt when he realized he “actually couldn’t move” his body for real. 

“I could only move my right hand,” Pratt said. “Took a minute and a half and I finally get out and I cough up dirt.”

Pratt was shocked when he was met with praise for this from his crew, as they thought that his prank was actually a hyperrealistic acting performance!
