WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has had an incredible wrestling career. While he hasn’t wrestled in a long while, and may not return to the ring at any point soon, could he be given a role or angle (pun intended) at WrestleMania 39?

Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 39?

While on The Wrassingh Show recently, Angle was asked if he would work with AEW, and if that could negatively impact his relationship with the WWE. Currently, the former champion has a Legends contract with the company.

Angle notes that working with AEW could jeopardize his relationship with the WWE. He also reveals that he could have a role at WM 39.

What Kind Of Role Could Kurt Angle Have At WrestleMania 39?

During the interview, Angle states that “they” (WWE) are “talking” about him potentially doing something at WrestleMania 39. He confirms that it’s “just an idea” (right now) and that he wouldn’t be wrestling at all.

What kind of role could Kurt have at WM 39? Could he manage someone in a match?

Angle reveals during the interview that he can’t wrestle anymore. It’ll be interesting to see if he makes it to the Grandest Stage of Them All once again, and in what capacity.

Kurt Angle truly has had an incredible wrestling career. From winning his gold medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics (with a broken freakin’ neck) to his WWE career, and all he did during his time with TNA.

He was a WWE World title holder five times, he also held the TNA World title six times, plus he held other countless gold in both promotions. It makes it no surprise that he’s both a WWE Hall of Famer (inducted in 2017), and a TNA Hall of Famer (2013).

On top of all that, he’s TNA Triple Crown Champion and a WWE Triple Crown and Grand Slam Champion. He was also crowned WWE King of the Ring in 2000.

Angle has pretty much done it all in the land of professional wrestling. Only time will tell what he’ll do next.

Over to AEW, Dynamite Grand Slam was an amazing night filled with some awesome memories. From Saraya’s debut to Jon Moxley’s win, the show was quite eventful.

But was it without any drama? There were some bouts with notable referee botches.

Grand Slam Botches Planned

Dave Meltzer talks Grand Slam botches during his most recent Wrestling Observer Radio. He chats specifically about botches done by Paul Turner.

As per Meltzer, these were done “on purpose”. Dave notes at times when you watch these things you think, “these agents” need to “talk to each other” so that the same finish isn’t done three times in a row.

It’s All Part Of A Greater Angle …

With that said, Dave believes the Eddie Kingston versus Sammy Guevara botch reveals an AEW Rampage angle for Paul Turner, moving forward.

Will that happen? It’s very likely.

After all, referees, announcers, and commentators have often blurred their roles and dived into storylines when need be. Only time will tell.
