Jane Fonda Opens Up About Her ‘Solo’ Sex Life At 84

Jane Fonda is giving fans more details than anyone wanted about her sex life at the age of 84, saying that women “get better” at sex as they get older.

Fonda Discusses Her ‘Solo’ Sex Life

While appearing on “Watch What Happens Live” this week, Fonda was asked by host Andy Cohen to characterize her sex life.

“Private,” she responded. “Solo.”

Fox News reported that Cohen then asked Fonda if she believes people “become better at sex” as they age or if they “lean into bad habits.”

“Women, I think, tend to get better because they lose their fear of saying what they need,” Fonda replied. “We waste way too much time not wanting to say: ‘Wait a minute, hold it, hold it, no, no, no. Slow down, and a little to the left.’ We don’t want to do that.”

“But when we get older, it’s like: ‘No, I know what I want. Give me what I want,'” she continued.

Fonda Never Wants To Be In A ‘Sexual Relationship’ Again

This comes one year after Fonda said that she does not want to be in a “sexual relationship” ever again.

“I don’t want to be in a relationship, a sexual relationship, again,” she explained. “I don’t have that desire. Do I fantasize? Yes, here’s my fantasy. I’ll just put it out there. That I meet a professor or a researcher, somebody in that line who is really capable of loving, of cherishing a woman, so that I could test myself and see if I could show up.”

“I think maybe now I could, but the problem is that, like a man, I would want a younger man,” she added. “Isn’t that awful? It’s a thing about skin. I would want a younger man, and I’m too vain.”

Fonda has been married three times, with each one ending in divorce and her last one coming to an end in 2001. She was married to the French screenwriter Roger Vadim from 1965 until 1973, and then to politician Tom Hayden from 1973 until 1990. Finally, Fonda was married to CNN founder Ted Turner from 1991 until they divorced in 2001.

Fonda’s Philosophy On Life

Daily Mail reported that this comes one week after Fonda shared her philosophy about life’s changing fortunes, saying “this is not original to me, but luck is preparation meeting opportunity.”

“You know, opportunity can come along and there are people who don’t know – they can’t even see it, much less seize it and use it,” Fonda said. “In a way, you have to prepare yourself to take advantage of opportunity and turn it into luck.”

“I also believe…that it’s not a binary,” she added. “It’s not all good luck and bad luck and the two ne’er shall meet. They’re the same. It’s like silence makes no sense without noise, life makes no sense without death – well, good luck makes no sense without bad luck.”

Fonda has been a Hollywood star for decades, winning two Oscars throughout her career. She’s also known for being a radically liberal activist, something that she has unfortunately also been doing for over half a century.

While we can applaud Fonda for being so candid, we also think that she might want to keep some details about her sex life to herself.

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
