Bray Wyatt was released by the WWE in the summer of 2021. While the shock has worn off, wrestling fans and media alike are still looking for the reason “why”. A new report reveals how he was perceived by the company, which may offer insight.

How WWE Perceived Bray Wyatt

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, some people backstage thought Bray Wyatt did more “harm” than “good” in the WWE. Meltzer notes specifically in terms of storyline and damage to superstars.

One example that was brought up was “beating” his opponents so decisively. Seth Rollins’s name was mentioned, and how his defeat didn’t “click” for some backstage.

Still, Wyatt sold a ton of merchandise, with zero complaints from the WWE. Prior to Bray’s release, he was in the top three merchandise earners, only behind Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar.

Perhaps we will never know the full story behind why the WWE let Wyatt go. Current AEW superstar and ex-WWEer, Matt Hardy recently revealed that Bray had a “strange” relationship with the company’s chairman, Vince McMahon.

Hardy notes in the interview that while McMahon viewed Wyatt like a son if Bray did something he didn’t approve of, he was “hated”. It seemed to be a very “hot and cold” feeling, which may explain Wyatt’s booking in the WWE over the years.

Wyatt has yet to land in another promotion since his WWE release. He’s teased a return on social media, but he hasn’t made an official comeback yet.

Only time will tell where Bray lands next. Here’s hoping he returns to that squared circle, soon.

Speaking of the WWE, while Tommaso Ciampa did a lot in NXT, he hasn’t done that much since landing on Monday Night RAW. Could a match with Becky Lynch be in his future?

Becky Lynch Vs. Tommaso Ciampa?

Ciampa made a huge impact during his time in NXT. Not only was he a two-time NXT Champion, plus an NXT Tag Title holder, but he also had an incredible feud with Johnny Gargano.

What’s next for Tommaso now that he’s on the main roster? Perhaps a match against Becky Lynch?!

This past week on RAW, Becks challenged Dana Brooke for her 24/7 Championship. Sadly, Lynch lost to her.

She’s been on a bad losing streak, so this latest defeat did not go over well with The Man. However, during an interview with The Bump, Ciampa revealed something interesting.

He notes that he was “hoping” to see Lynch win the WWE 24/7 Championship. Why?

Well, Tommaso states that if Big Time Becks won, he could face her for the title. Do any fans out there want to see a Ciampa versus Lynch match?

Big Time Becks In A Big Time Funk

It would be an interesting bout, to say the least. With that said, who knows if it’ll ever happen.

Becky Lynch has been in a funk lately. So much so that she updated her social media handles with odd and cryptic profiles and messages.

No one knows exactly where this storyline is headed. However, it does look like she’s helping to elevate other female talents in the process.
