Tyson Fury Calls Out Drew McIntyre

Heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury retained his WBC and The Ring heavyweight titles in a match this past weekend. And while a title unification with Oklesander Usyk is probably a far way off, Fury is considering retirement and a few other unconventional bouts. Following his victory over Dillan Whyte, Fury seemed to want a book mixed rules fight with UFC champion Francis Ngannou and also WWE former world champion Drew McIntyre. 

The Scottish Superstar responded in kind.

Tyson Fury vs. Drew McIntyre? 

This would not be Fury’s first foray into sports entertainment, the Gypsy King had a match against Braun Strowman at WWE Crown Jewel that ended in a countout. Fury & Strowman later teamed up to face off against the B-Team. 

Fury indicated his desire to face off against McIntyre, and the two seem like a natural pair. It would fit that Fury pairs off with another giant. 

Fury didn’t look too bad in his first outing against Strowman. I imagine he will look better with McIntyre, one of the best and most experienced wrestlers on the WWE roster. 

WWE Returns to the UK

WWE is swinging for the fences with their first UK stadium show in 30 years. The WWE returns to UK wit show in Cardiff, Wales. 

The unnamed “Premium Live Event” will take place at Cadiff’s Prinicipality Stadium. Originally known as Millenium Stadium (  Stadiwm y Mileniwm in Welsh) the venu is the home of Wales’ National Rugby team and can old up to 78,000 people for boxing matches. Judging by the early interest in this event, WWE can easily get 70,000+ to attend the show.

McIntyre vs Fury could be a fun match. And I expect WWE will pull out all the stops with this show and feature a lot of WWE’s UK talent.
