Several original AEW wrestlers have turned into major stars in a short time. But who made our top five overall?

1. Darby Allin

Darby Allin is the first in our lineup of original AEW wrestlers who became major stars. Of course, it is not difficult to see why.

Allin has had matches with some of the greats and held his own. Obviously, this includes the legendary CM Punk.

Of course, it also helps to have a legendary wrestler such as Sting in your corner.

2. Britt Baker

It is certainly nice to see a female star in this overview. Of course, nobody is more deserving of this spot than Britt Baker.

Britt Baker was relatively unknown by mainstream wrestling fans. Even though she had loads of talent, only indies were aware of her existence.

Fortunately, this has all changed. In fact, Britt Baker is pretty much on top of the women’s division at this point.

3. Sammy Guevara

As a member of the Inner Circle, Sammy Guevara was in a prime position to hit the bigtime. Of course, not even a spot in one of the most successful factions can guarantee success.

But, Guevara did make the best of the opportunity he was given. In fact, he soon became a sturdy fan favorite.

And it recently paid off after he defeated the previously unbeatable Miro.

There are big things waiting for Sammy Guevara in the future. In fact, I don’t believe we have seen everything from this star yet.

4. Jungle Boy

Being the son of Luke Perry would give you a leg up in entertainment, but not in professional wrestling overall. This is a lesson that Jungle Boy definitely took to heart.

Jungle Boy did not count on his famous name to reach stardom. Instead, hard work, dedication, and a killer gimmick did it for him.

While Jungle Boy has not quite reached the top of his career just yet, he is considered a serious contender. Evidently, this is proven by the numerous championship opportunities he had.

Sadly, he has still to capture that one big title that will launch him among the other greats in this list. However, I do not believe we will have to wait long for that one.

5. MJF

Talk about ultimate heels. I do not think there is man you love to hate more than MJF.

It became clear quickly that MJF had a true talent for winding up the crowd. In fact, he was often compared to Chris Jericho.

A lengthy feud with Jericho soon proved the launch pad MJF needed to be considered as a future great. If anything, he is one of the most hated heels out there (which is a good thing).

MJF is smug, spoiled, and cowardly. These are three qualities we love in a modern-day heel in professional wrestling.

I do not think there is a better heel than MJF and I cannot wait what he will pull out of his hat in the future. My only advice to him would be to keep it fresh!
