Flashback: OJ Simpson Claims He’s Afraid To Be In Los Angeles Due To Fears Of ‘Sitting Next To Whoever Did It’

Former NFL star OJ Simpson spoke out this week to claim that he is afraid of being in Los Angeles because he fears “sitting next to whoever” killed his ex-wife Nicole Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman in 1994. The 74 year old and currently lives in Las Vegas.

The Juice and Nicole were married from 1985 to 1992 and they had two children together – Sydney and Justin.

This will be infuriating to the millions of Americans who still believe that Simpson got away with their murders.

‘I Have Trouble With L.A.’

“I have trouble with L.A.,” Simpson told The Athletic. “People may think this is self-serving, but I might be sitting next to whoever did it. I really don’t know who did this.”

“The L.A. thing, unfortunately, some people wrongfully believe something, but I moved on,” he continued. “I still think I’m a good guy. I didn’t let it change me. It did for a while. I was angry for a while, but I treat everybody the way I want to be treated.”

Simpson was arrested and charged with the brutal murders, but he was later acquitted by a jury in a bombshell trial. These days, Simpson claims to be loving life.

“How many Americans, even today, wouldn’t like to live my life?” Simpson asked. “I don’t work. I play golf four or five days a week. I go out to dinner a couple of nights with friends. People want to buy me drinks. I’m always taking pictures with people. Ladies hug me. I’m living a good life now.”

Simpson Claims Society Treats Him Well

Simpson also surprisingly claims he is treated well by society.

“I have loyal, terrific friends,” Simpson said. “The only people that abandoned me are the ones who were asking me for favors all the time. I don’t need them. I couldn’t care less. The general public, despite what the media says, treat me well.”

“A lot of people think of me as a legend, especially younger guys because they’ve heard of me their whole lives — no matter what it was for,” he continued. “Most people who weren’t around, anybody younger than 25, they just see a celebrity.”

When asked if he thinks the world will ever learn the truth behind the murders, Simpson said, “I figured eventually somebody would confess to something, you know? I had one suspect I told my lawyers to look at. I still think he might be involved, but I can’t talk about it.”

Of course, his comments are garnering a lot of attention on social media.

Simpson Hopes He’ll Be Remembered For Football

In the end, Simpson is hoping that the murders will not be included in his obituary when he passes away.

“I hope it starts out with football,” he said. “I know they’re going to add the other stuff.”

The vast majority of Americans still believe Simpson murdered Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman.

It’s sad that the truth behind the murders has never been proven in a court of law.

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
