Megan Rapinoe Pressured Other Players To Kneel During Anthem Says USWNT Goalie Hope Solo

Former U.S. women’s national soccer team (USWNT) goalkeeper Hope Solo said during a podcast this week that teammate Megan Rapinoe, who prides herself on being the Colin Kaepernick of the women’s soccer world, would “almost bully” players into kneeling for the national anthem.

Hope Solo Accuses Megan Rapinoe Of Anthem Kneeling Bullying

“I’ve seen Megan Rapinoe almost bully players into kneeling because she really wants to stand up for something in her particular way, but it’s our right as Americans to do it in whatever way we’re comfortable with,” Solo said while appearing on “All of US: The U.S. Women’s Soccer Show.”

Solo, who is champion goalie, went on to call anthem kneeling “very divisive.”

“I do appreciate the fact that there’s no national anthem right before the game. To really remove that decision from athletes. Because that’s very tough, it’s tough,” she continued.

Solo then said that there is so much pressure on athletes these days that many feel they are “carrying the world on their back.”

“I think that’s really hard being on the main stage right now with so many political issues for athletes,” she said. “There’s a lot of pressure, and ultimately at the end of the day, our number one focus should and has always been to win first.”

Solo is a a World Cup champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist who played on the U.S. women’s national soccer team from 2000 until 2016, according to Fox News.

Megan Rapinoe Leads USWNT In Anthem Kneeling At Olympics

This comes weeks after Rapinoe led the charge in having her team kneel at the Olympics before their opening game against Sweden, which they lost in a shocking and humiliating 3-0 defeat.

They eventually took home the bronze medal after this rocky start, beating Australia for it in a 4-3 match.

Afterwards, former President Donald Trump blasted Rapinoe and her team for being more focused on being “woke” than on winning. 

“If our soccer team, headed by a radical group of Leftist Maniacs, wasn’t woke, they would have won the Gold Medal instead of the Bronze,” Trump said. “Woke means you lose, everything that is woke goes bad, and our soccer team certainly has. They should replace the wokesters with Patriots and start winning again.”

Trump Calls Out Rapinoe

Former president Donald Trump also called out Megan Rapinoe, who is a frequent critic of his, trashing the all-star soccer player as “the woman with purple hair,” and saying that she played “terribly.”

Is anyone really surprised by Rapinoe’s reported locker room antics? It’s increasingly apparent that bullying is standard behavior for members of the “woke” mob.

The one thing that Megan Rapinoe seems to have accomplished with her anthem kneeling demands is distracting her teammates with her nonsense.

It begs the question whether the cards might’ve fallen differently for the USWNT in Tokyo without the political pressure or circus.
