Legendary country star Toby Keith, 59, released a birthday song for the United States. The bittersweet song celebrates America and its freedoms with a cautious tale about the current state of affairs brought to us by extremist activists.

He mentions the anti-American sentiment and activities that have flooded the streets and communities during the pandemic.

Keith immediately addresses this negativity during what should be a celebratory time for our nation.

He got the idea for “”Happy Birthday America” while watching fireworks on the Fourth of July in 2020 as he explains in the tweeted video below.

‘Happy Birthday America, Whatever’s Left Of You’

“Seems like everybody’s pissin’ on the red, white and blue,” Toby Keith sings. “Happy birthday America, whatever’s left of you.”

The beloved singer who loves our nation remembers how the United States saved the world during both world wars. Where would Europe be without us?

“France would just be part of Germany now if it hadn’t been for you,” he says. “Now your children want to turn you into something other than yourself. They burn your flag in their city streets more than anybody else.”

Toby Keith is not someone to be shy about his feelings.

He sticks to his guns, especially when it comes to sticking up for the United States. And, he takes the song into a political direction.

He sings that cities are collapsing “by the Left’s design.”

But, the problems have a bipartisan approach as he claims “the Right can’t seem to get it right most of the time.”

American voters often are left choosing between “lesser of two evils” and this has left us with today’s state of affairs.

Still, Toby Keith recognizes America’s greatness and the importance of preserving our great nation.

‘Democracy Is In Danger’

Keith said in an interview with Fox News, “I live in the heartland and it just feels like everybody you talk to has the same worries. It just feels like the politicians aren’t getting the job done on either side and it just feels like the democracy is in danger.”

This song should serve as a wake up call that we need to get things in order.

Toby Keith has been a proud and optimistic American. You can tell how much Toby Keith loves America.

This song takes a sad turn for someone who always puts his patriotism on stage.

Toby Keith wrote another patriotic song after two tragic events – the death of his father, veteran Hubert Keith Covel and the terrorist attacks on 9/11.

He wrote “Courtesy of the Red, White And Blue (The Angry American)” in about 20 minutes and the song was a big hit for him.

Toby Keith’s USO Show Interrupted By Mortar Attack

Keith has done countless USO tours to entertain our troops. He’s gone into active war zones. In 2008, a mortar attack interrupted his show in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Along with 2,500 deployed service members, Toby took shelter.

Even during that hour of high tension, he continued thanking the troops.

While they waited out the attack, Toby Keith posed for pictures with the members of the military he was there to entertain.

We’d be wise to make sure we take his advice and preserve our country.
