Elaine Welteroth, one of the co-hosts on “The Talk” can be heard supporting Sharon Osbourne on leaked audio shortly after the infamous on-air confrontation between Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood.

Earlier this year, Sharon Osbourne was forced to leave her gig hosting the CBS talk show “The Talk” after defending her friend Piers Morgan from claims that he was racist.

Caught On Hot Mic

In this audio, Welteroth can be heard comforting Osbourne, and emphatically saying that Osbourne is “not racist.”

“They asked me to ask that question. I said, no I’m not going to ask that question, I said to them, this is going to be a train wreck. Sharon, I’m just so sorry that that went the way that it went,” Welteroth says in the hot mic recording, which was obtained by Daily Mail

Osbourne, who is clearly in tears, responds by saying, “Do you know what it is though, when you have to sit there and defend yourself? It makes you look guilty because you can’t get out of it.”

“It’s like calling somebody a pedophile, you can’t deny it,” she adds. “What do you say?”

Elaine Welteroth Comforts Sharon Osbourne

Welteroth continued to try and comfort Osbourne, saying that her cohosts support her.

“I just want you to know, Sharon. Sheryl loves you and respects you so much and had your back behind the scenes,” she says, referring to cohost Sheryl Underwood. “She was not trying to attack you.”

“And I know you’re upset. I know it was terrible, but I just hope that once this blows over that you know Sheryl is your friend. She really is your friend,” Welteroth adds. “She doesn’t think you’re racist. I don’t think you’re racist. No one who knows you would ever say that or think that.”

Welteroth says later in the audio tape that she felt that the entire segment was a “set up.”

“It felt like we were all set up – particularly you – but I also felt set up because I was like sitting there and Sheryl goes, ‘what would you like to say?'” she says. “‘What the f**k? I don’t have nothing to say. Why are we having this conversation right now?'”

Cohost Turns On Osbourne

However, in the tweeted video below from weeks after the heated discussion with Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood, Welteroth race-baits like it’s her job and suggests that she felt that she and her cohosts were victims of racism at the hands of the British television personality.

Elaine Welteroth drastically changed her tune from supporting Sharon Osbourne to throwing her under the bus. Maybe she realized how lucrative it is to play the victim in these kinds of situations in today’s “woke” society.

When the show returned weeks later, she and Underwood said that they had to stay “composed” in the face of someone “who was not listening and who went off the rails into disrespect.”

Response To Leaked Audio

“This is simply outrageous, what Elaine has said publicly and privately to Sharon are two different things,” one source said. “Listen to the tape, Sharon is sobbing. Horrified that she has been made out to be racist.”

“Over and over again Elaine reassures Sharon that she doesn’t think she is racist and that she [Elaine] refused to ask the initial question that sparked this,” the insider added. “It is outrageous that Elaine has Sharon’s back behind the scenes and then files a complaint against her to CBS management.”

This shows once and for all that what happened to Osbourne was incredibly unfair.

She was railroaded and it seems was set-up by CBS executives and her cohosts alike. And, the truth about what happened to her needs to come out.
