George Foreman America

Legendary boxer George Foreman loves America and says he “will never turn his back on America.” Foreman won a gold medal in the 1968 summer Olympics in Mexico City. That’s quite a contrast to radically liberal Hollywood stars and athletes who are unfortunately making  it “hip” and “cool” to disrespect the United States.

Recently, American hammer thrower Gwen Berry turned her back during the national anthem at the Olympic trials.

George Foreman Fires Back

Foreman spoke out this week to defend America from those who constantly attack it.

“I have always loved America,” Foreman told Fox News. “And once you fall in love just like falling in love with your wife, no one can say anything about her. The next night she is still my wife. And I’m going to stay.”

“That’s why you make that thing ‘until death do we part,'” he added. “That’s why nothing has ever shook my faith and love in the country and when you love a country, nothing can bother you. If you are halfway in love you are going to have a lot of trouble.”

“I will never turn my back on America,” Foreman went on to defiantly add.

Foreman Defends Police

Foreman also defended American police officers, who have been relentlessly vilified by the radical left over the past year. The former boxer fired back by saying that police have played a crucial role in helping minority youths and athletes over the years.

“It was the police who started the PAL, Police Athletic League,” Foreman explained. “They taught us how to box. They would travel from one state to the other to see that we won these golden gloves tournament.”

“They sent us off to the Olympics,” he added. “I have this fond memory and love for this country and the people in this country. Nobody will ever be able to talk me out of that. That’s love.”

Disrespecting Police Is A ‘Fashion’ That Will Go Out Of Style

As for the anti-police sentiment that currently plagues our nation, Foreman sees that as simply a “fashion” that will hopefully soon go out of style.

“It’s all fashionable to be anti-American. It’s fashionable,” he said. “People ask me what are you talking about? Can’t you see what was done then and what was done now? Can’t you see? And I tell them swiftly, you can’t talk me out of my love.”

Public figures who praise our country in this way are unfortunately few and far between these days, so Foreman’s remarks could not be more refreshing.

God bless George Foreman for taking the time to publicly praise the greatest nation on earth, America, despite risking backlash for himself by doing so!
