Meghan Markle’s estranged father Thomas Markle slammed Oprah Winfrey for using The Duke and Duchess of Sussex for her professional gain. He also accused the talk show guru of “taking advantage” of Harry while in he is in a “weakened” state.
Markle has been estranged from his daughter Meghan since her wedding to Prince Harry. She chopped him out of the picture after he coordinated a photoshoot with paparazzi.
Even after he had a massive heart attack did not sway Meghan to contact her father.
Thomas Markle Has Not Met His Grandchildren Or Prince Harry
Thomas Markle has not met his son-in-law or either of his two grandchildren.
He understands the pain the Royal Family is feeling as they are also being “ghosted” by Harry and Meghan.

“Oprah Winfrey, for one, I think Oprah Winfrey is playing Harry and Meghan,” he said in a new interview with “60 Minutes Australia.”
“I think she’s using them to build her network and build her new shows. I think she’s taking advantage of a very weakened man and getting him to say things that you just shouldn’t be saying on television.”

“I just don’t think they’re (Harry and Meghan) taking the right path … everything they’re doing now seems to be going against public opinion … the only one benefiting is Oprah,” Thomas Markle said later in the interview.
“She will disagree of course, and she may even sue me, I don’t care. But the bottom line is she is working Harry,” he continued.
Thomas Markle Doubts Harry
Markle also punched a massive hole in Prince Harry’s recent interview with Oprah.
“With my daughter, he said my daughter was thinking of suicide,” Markle told 60 Minutes Australia. “And … he went to the royals and they wouldn’t help him. Well, you don’t go to the royals, you pick up a telephone and you call a doctor.”
“That’s like saying, ‘I wanted to leave the house, but nobody opened the door for me.’ You know, it’s stupid.”
He doesn’t get why Harry didn’t make an appointment for Meghan himself rather than blame the family.

This interview is unlikely to help build a bridge between him and Meghan but it might be the only way Thomas Markle can get a message to his daughter since she shut him out.
