Megan Rapinoe, who fancies herself to be the Colin Kaepernick of the women’s soccer world, is speaking out this week to complain about the “big f*** you” she feels she got from the U.S. Soccer Federation.
Rapinoe’s complaints are in the cover story for the June/July issue of Harper’s Bazaar, which accompanies a photoshoot that she took part in.

In her interview, Rapinoe addressed the court filing that the U.S. Soccer Federation made in March of last year in which they claimed that male soccer players deserve more money than the women because the men’s team “carries more responsibility” and “requires a higher level of skill.”
Needless to say, this did not sit well with Rapinoe.
“That was a fairly big “f*** you” to us,” the 35 year-old “woke” athlete lamented.
Rapinoe added that another “f*** you” came in May of 2020, when U.S. District Judge Gary Klausner dismissed the U.S. Women’s Soccer team as they tried to fight for equal pay in court.
In tossing out the case, Klausner stated that the women’s team had been offered the same pay structure as the men, yet they turned it down.

Rapinoe, however, claims that there is more to this than meets the eye.
“We were offered the same structure with like a third of the money,” she claimed in her new interview. “Why would we forgo at least having something guaranteed to make a third and take all that risk?”
Rapinoe also isn’t buying U.S. Soccer’s claim that covering back pay would bankrupt them.
“I’m sorry that you practiced gender discrimination and didn’t budget that in,” she said. “But they’re going to need to reallocate.”
“Money is the way our society shows people, especially in sports, how we value them,” Rapinoe continued. “We know exactly what’s in a contract every time a man signs it. We never know what women make. Why is it? Because they’re not something to be proud of. We need to change that narrative.”

It should be noted that Rapinoe only has fame outside of the small world of U.S. soccer because she followed Kaepernick’s lead in taking a knee during the national anthem before her games soon after he began doing so.
Like Kaepernick, Rapinoe managed to turn this into a lucrative career for herself by regularly bashing America to anyone who would listen, portraying it as a “racist” country.
Regardless of how much the U.S. Soccer Federation pays their women athletes, they might want to distance themselves from Rapinoe.
