Fit Finlay Tried To Legit Sell Hornswoggle

Hornswoggle and Fit Finlay were partners back in the mid/late 2000s. The two have some great memories in the ring together.

Finlay recently stopped by Stories with Brisco and Bradshaw. He relayed a story where he tried to sell Hornswoggle.

Fit stated that the two were somewhere in the Philippines, in a hotel lobby. There was an individual eagerly eyeing his wrestling partner.

Would Fit Finlay Ever Have Gone Through And Sell Hornswoggle?

Finlay went on to say that he grabbed ‘Swoggle by his collar and asked the individual if he wanted to buy him. Then, the man started talking about money.

The conversation lasted for about 15 minutes. Hornswoggle became very nervous at this point.

But the good news is that Finlay didn’t sell him. He noted he may have for the right price.

In all seriousness, Fit was clearly ribbing his partner. Although, Hornswoggle clearly wasn’t laughing at the time.

Fit Finlay has been a WWE producer since 2012. Hornswoggle left the company in 2016 and has been working with other promotions.

Speaking of leaving the WWE, some NXT talents were released yesterday. A full list of talent and the story, below.

On a sad note, multiple NXT stars were released from the WWE on Wednesday, May 19th. Talents were told these are due to budget cuts.

Those released include Jessamyn Duke, Skyler Story (Brandi Lauren Pawalek), and Vanessa Borne. Also on the list, Ezra Judge (Ezekwesiri “EJ” Nduka Jr.), Kavita Devi (Kavita Dalal), and Alexander Wolfe (Axel Tischer).

Wrestlers weren’t the only talent let go. NXT referees Jacob Clemons and Drake Younger (Drake Wuertz) were as well.

According to PW Insider, the original plan for NXT talent to be released right after the main roster cuts. These were done on April 15th of this year.

Instead, the company decided to “hold off” on these NXT releases until yesterday. WWE began informing stars of their releases at around 11 a.m.

Many of the NXT talents hit Twitter to issue a comment. See below.

More Information On NXT Releases

There’s additional information around these NXT releases. First off, Clemons’ release came as a surprise.

Meanwhile, there was no shock when it came to Younger. He’s was surrounded by controversy for a while now.

On the other hand, Borne’s release was not expected. This is because she wasn’t given much opportunity while on NXT.

Borne would attend television tapings. But, she was rarely at the WWE Performance Center.

Jessamyn Duke was well-liked backstage. The report noted that she would probably get another chance at some point.

As for Devi, she missed the WWE Superstar Spectacle taping last January. This was due to a family emergency.

The report noted that her mother-in-law recently passed away. However, this is separate from the initial emergency that took her abroad.

Lastly, Story was given a short-term deal. This contract coincided with WWE’s acquisition of EVOLVE in 2020.

Some of these released NXTers might be under a 30-day no-compete clause within their contracts. WWE has not confirmed this yet.

Word is that more releases could be on the horizon. Stay tuned, WNZ fans.
