After over two decades, the Nation Of Domination is coming back. Also, John Cena recently hinted that he might be done competing at WrestleMania.

Nation Of Domination Reuniting

During the Attitude Era, the Nation Of Domination was a popular group. They went through a few phases and leaders, but were always heavily featured on TV.

Like any stable, they eventually split and went their separate ways. Some still work for WWE, others left the business and a few still compete for other promotions.

Mark Henry, Ron Simmons, D’Lo Brown and The Godfather will reunite at QPW’s SuperSlam 3 events in Doha, Qatar. It goes down February 26, 2022 and is their first time together in 22 years.

Noticeably missing is The Rock. He is busy taking Hollywood by storm, but he is known to drop a quick video message to surprise fans.

The event airs on FITE TV. No price is currently available.

John Cena Done With WrestleMania?

When The Rock and Steve Austin stepped away from the business, there were huge shoes to fill. Seemingly, WWE was missing a superhero like babyface to represent the company.

Then, came along John Cena. He had the look and knew how to work the mic, but that does not mean everything. Eventually, fans quickly latched on and it became apparent Vince McMahon was going to make him a massive star.

His first WrestleMania did not see him wrestle, but instead he cut a promo. The following year, at WrestleMania XX, he won his first title in the United States Championship.

The rise continued the following year, as he defeated JBL to win his first WWE Championship. For the next decade, Cena would be in marquee matches; frequently in title matches or the main event.

He even wrestled The Rock twice, in a match many saw as a passing of the torch. Like many, Cena slowly started to wrestle less-and-less for WWE as he focused towards Hollywood.

He did not work WrestleMania 37 because of filming in Canada and the quarantine time made a match not possible. Even without Cena, the show still went on and he knows WWE will continue after he retires.

“I think it’s really special and we all think they’re never going to go on without us,” said Cena to Bleacher Report. “That’s not true. It’s more reassuring to me to not only see that WWE has a life after me, which is inevitable for sure, but that the life is thriving,”

“There’s so many great storylines. So ,many great matches.”

“It’s called WrestleMania, not CenaMania, you know? I’ve been a part [of it] and that part is over.”

WWE Without John Cena

Certainly, an interesting remark from Cena. The final line drops a hint that he might be done wrestling inside the squared circle.

Cena’s last match was WrestleMania 36, when he lost to The Fiend in a cinematic match. The entire thing was bizarre and some speculated it was done as a way for Cena to quietly retire.

Cena has won a ton of titles in WWE, including being a 16 time world champion. The only other wrestler with that number is Ric Flair.

Considering everything Cena has done for WWE, retirement does not seem like a crazy idea. He already is preparing for the rest of life as an actor and husband.
