LAPD Officials Clap Back At Hypocritical Oscar Winners Who Slammed Cops

LAPD officials clapped back at the hypocrisy of the actors who slammed the police in their acceptance speeches at the Oscars.

Hollywood elite targeted police officers in their acceptance speeches at Sunday’s Academy Awards as they were being protected by cops. Now, LAPD officials are returning the favor by clapping back at the award-winning hypocrisy.

The Oscars were a rating boondoggle. Tinseltown’s never-ending political activism has forced many Americans to turn the channel on awards nights.

Police Protection At The Academy Awards

The Los Angeles Police Department provided protection to the stars who attended the award ceremony.

“Today the police will kill three people, and tomorrow the police will kill three people, and the day after that the police will kill three people,” Oscar award-winner Travon Free said in his acceptance speech for live-action short winner.

“Because on average, the police in America every day kill three people, which amounts to about a thousand people a year and those people happen to disproportionately be Black people,” Free said. Wearing a black and gold suit jacket lined with the names of people who have been killed by police, he then read a James Baldwin quote and asked: “Please don’t be indifferent to our pain.”

LAPD Officials Slams Hypocritical Actors

Los Angeles Police Protective League’s (LAPPL) Board of Directors pointed out some important facts to Fox News.

There are a record number of shootings in LA and the police aren’t the ones driving up those numbers.

More than 450 people have been shot in L.A. just this year so far. That’s an increase of 73% year-over-year – and the “overwhelming number of those shooting victims were young Black and Hispanic men.”

“[Y]et no one heard about this carnage at last night’s Oscar production,” the board of directors wrote in an statement. “There won’t be any protests or social media generated from the red-carpet walking movie stars about homicides and shootings exploding in virtually every big city in the nation, rather, just more blame directed at police officers, because it must be their fault.”

“There isn’t a mirror big enough for Hollywood’s self-appointed moral standard-bearers to look into and question their contribution to the glorification of guns, drugs, and crime,” LAPPL continued.

While it is not known how many LAPD officers provided protection during Sunday’s Academy Awards, it is common for the ceremony to require staffing of 200 uniformed cops plus some working undercover.

These men and women were being maligned by woke actors as they put their lives on the line to protect them

Actor Tyler Perry was an exception to the cop bashing. He used his acceptance speech to call for unity and to refuse to hate anyone, including the police.
