A “Wheel Of Fortune” winner has just revitalized our faith in humanity with what he decided to do with his big winnings!
With all of the negativity and darkness in the world today, it’s easy to forget that there are still good people out there who are doing kind things for others.
Scott Kolbrenner is a financial advisor who won Thursday night’s episode of “Wheel of Fortune.” He walked away with a whopping $145,000.
The next day, Kolbrenner shocked everyone when he revealed that he will be donating all of his winnings to charity!
How cool is that?!
“It’s been a dark time. When I went on the show, I was doing it for the fun of it,” Kolbrenner said on Friday morning, according to Entertainment Tonight. “I said to my wife as I went on, ‘If I do OK here, anything that I get, let’s give it to charity. We’re very fortunate. Let’s see if we can support some others who aren’t as fortunate as we are.'”
Kolbrenner said that his wife was the only person who knew how well he did on the show, as he didn’t tell any of his other family members or friends.
“My kids didn’t know. My parents, friends, family didn’t know. So it was complete and utter shock for everybody in our lives,” he said. “They were elated about it.”

Kolbrenner has since revealed that he will be splitting his winnings between Uplift Family Services and L.A. Regional Food Bank.
“We are so honored and grateful that Scott chose to play for us while advocating for our agency’s Los Angeles-based Hollygrove programs!” tweeted Uplift Family Services, a behavioral health treatment center for which Kolbrenner serves on the Board of Directors.
“Hollygrove is a wonderful place,” said Kolbrenner. “It’s dedicated to helping kids excel and grow. And their families as well – mental health and other services for them.”
L.A. Regional Food Bank was just as happy about Kolbrenner’s incredible gift, writing on Twitter, “It takes everyone to fight food insecurity. Thank you Scott for your thoughtful donation! Together, #WeFeedLA.”
