Pat Sajak Hilariously Mocks ‘Celebrityhood’ And Coronavirus
Longtime "Wheel Of Fortune" host Pat Sajak skewered self-important celebrities today in a hilarious tweet about being famous during coronavirus.
“Wheel Of Fortune” host Pat Sajak just showed that his sense of humor is still very much in tact amidst the coronavirus pandemic when he took to social media today to mock both the virus and Hollywood celebrities who are so full of themselves.
Pat Sajak Mocks Celebrities
Pat Sajak has been holding down hosting duties on one of America’s favorite game shows, “Wheel of Fortune”, for nearly 40 years.
Today, the 73-year-old reminded the world that he’s not just a one-trick pony – the guy’s got jokes too!
“No one was recognizing me when I went out wearing a face mask. Had to resort to carrying an 8×10 glossy of myself. Celebrityhood can be challenging,” Sajack tweeted on Friday morning.

Ouch! Clearly the longtime game show host knows how to deliver a zinger. It really must be tough being a star these days with no paparazzi or flocking fans to obsess over your every move.

Of course, this is far from the first time that Sajak has gone after self-important celebrities, as he often likes to poke fun at them on social media.
Back in 2017, after Donald Trump was elected but before he was inaugurated, Sajak mocked the narcissistic liberal stars who had threatened to leave the country if he won the election.
“I wonder if the celebrities who moved out of the country will return for the demonstrations?” he tweeted, according to Daily Wire.
Pat Sajak Fires Back At Celebrities Calling For Gun Control
Months later, after the Las Vegas massacre, the “Wheel of Fortune” host torched the leftwing celebrities offering up their uninformed opinions on gun control.
“OK, let me explain this again: We’re celebs. We’re wiser & more empathetic than you. We are famous. Please take our opinions more seriously,” the game show host wrote on Twitter.
Sajak blasted celebrities once again before the 2018 midterm elections, tweeting, “One of the (many) odd conceits of celebrityhood is the notion that the ability to sing or tell jokes or portray other characters somehow qualifies one to tell others how to vote. Not sure electricians or truckers or sales associates feel that way about themselves.”
We could not have said that better ourselves!
Just A Hint Of Saracasm
Last year, Sajak sarcastically tweeted that he would like to start advising Americans on politics like his fellow celebrities.
Sajak is one of the few who understand that everyday Americans neither need nor want celebrities telling us how to live. As demonstrated in the below tweet.
“As you probably know, we celebrities are uniquely qualified to tell you how to live and what to think, and I take that responsibility seriously,” he wrote. “I’m working hard, and I expect to have my list of rules available in a week or so. Meantime, just do your best on your own.”
