Piers Morgan fired back at his former CNN colleague Ana Navarro after she used fake news to attack him in the wake of him leaving “Good Morning Britain.” Morgan quick GMB after receiving backlash for criticizing Meghan Markle.
Morgan and Navarro went at it on Twitter. The spat came about when Navarro took to Twitter to gloat about his departure from “Good Morning Britain,” falsely claiming that he was fired.
“If no other change comes out of the #OprahMeghanHarry interview, that it lead to @piersmorgan getting fired again from yet another job, seems like a good outcome for the benefit of humanity,” Navarro tweeted.

Unfortunately for Navarro, Morgan had facts on his side. He let her have it in a post of his own.
“Hi Ana, I wasn’t fired by ITV (I’m still working for them) just as I wasn’t fired by CNN (I was offered a new 2-year deal – ask Jeff),” Morgan said in response, undoubtedly referring to CNN President Jeff Zucker.
Not stopping there, Morgan shut Navarro down. He added, “But great to see you’re just as big a treacherous little back-stabber now as you were when I worked at CNN.”
And that, folks, is what we call a mic drop moment!
The facts do indeed seem to be on Piers Morgan’s side. ITV said in a statement that he quit, never once saying that they fired him.
“Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain. ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add,” a spokesman for the network said after his departure, according to the BBC.
Moreover, sources at ITV told iNews that Morgan “will continue to make programs for the channel” despite leaving “Good Morning Britain,” making it even more unlikely that Navarro has any solid evidence to back up her claim that he was fired.

Despite all of the backlash he has received, Morgan has defiantly stood by his criticisms of Meghan Markle in the wake of her interview with Oprah Winfrey.
“On Monday, I said I didn’t believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview,” he wrote on Twitter after leaving the show. “I’ve had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don’t. If you did, OK.”
“Freedom of speech is a hill I’m happy to die on,” he continued. “Thanks for all the love, and hate. I’m off to spend more times with my opinions.”
As for Navarro, she’s made a career off claiming to be a Republican despite seemingly only expressing liberal views.
She’s managed to score gigs with CNN and ABC’s “The View” because liberals like to view her as a Republican who has seen the light because of how “evil” Donald Trump was. But, in reality, it’s doubtful she was ever really a conservative at all.
Good for Morgan for shutting Navarro down, and not letting her use his name to further herself in the eyes of the leftist media.
