Meghan Markle Piers Morgan

Piers Morgan dramatically walked off “Good Morning Britain” following a heated discussion with his co-host Alex Beresford about Meghan Markle.

Morgan got up and, while walking off the set, said, “Okay, I’m done with this, sorry, no, sorry… see you later, sorry, can’t do this.”

Piers Morgan At Odds With Markle’s Accusations

A number of outlets, including Daily Mail, are reporting that Markle personally complained to ITV, the network that airs “Good Morning Britain.”

She took issue with Morgan’s questions regarding her suicidal thoughts and accusations that the Royal Family brushed them off.

Her husband and others in the Royal Family have been tremendous advocates for mental health yet she claims her cries for help were dismissed.

“Who did you go to? What did they say to you?” Piers Morgan said on GMB. “I’m sorry, I don’t believe a word she said, Meghan Markle. I wouldn’t believe it if she read me a weather report.”

He also stated that he doesn’t believe the actresses racism accusations she threw out about the Royal Family in her jaw-dropping interview with Oprah Winfrey.

“Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided it’s time for him to leave Good Morning Britain,” the network stated apparently two hours after Markle’s complaint. “ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add.”

Piers Offers No Apologies

Morgan is offering no apologies for his opinion.

After all, that was his role at “Good Morning Britain.” He was paid to have an opinion.

And, that opinion was at odds with Meghan Markle and now he’s out of job.

Following his departure, Piers Morgan tweeted a that he still doesn’t believe the American Duchess and declared “freedom of speech is a hill I’m happy to die on.”

He also included a picture and a quote of Winston Churchill.

Still, 41,000 people supporting Markle lodged complaints against the morning talk show host with Ofcom, the agency that regulates British television.

“Some people’s idea of free speech is that they are free to say what they like, but if anyone says anything back, that is an outrage,” the iconic Prime Minister’s quote reads.

“Good Morning Britain” Breaks Record

Remarkably, viewers tuned in Tuesday to watch Piers on “Good Morning Britain” in record numbers causing the show to beat “BBC Breakfast” for the first time.

Morgan interviewed Thomas Markle on Tuesday to discuss his daughter’s interview with Oprah. With Morgan’s exit from the show, they should brace for those ratings to hemorrhage.

Morgan made additional comments on mental illness and suicide on the show. But, that wasn’t enough to stop Markle from complaining.

He supported those suffering. He is just challenging Meghan’s accusations as the dots don’t connect in his opinion. That video is below.

Piers Morgan has not announced his next move, but it’s hard to imagine that Meghan Markle has silenced him.
