In an unexpected, but thankfully happy story, John Cena saves a young child’s life, in a manner of speaking. And, following a health crisis of his own, Road Dogg responds to fans.
In news you might not have expected to read about…John Cena saves a young child’s life.
No, seriously. Sort of, in a manner of speaking.
Cena, the decorated part-time WWE Superstar and Hollywood actor, wasn’t physically involved in the save. However, he got credit for an assist.
Once you hear the story, it’s a fair bet you’d be inclined to agree.
Recently, a young boy performed the Heimlich maneuver on his baby sister, saving her from choking on food.
But, how does this become “John Cena saves a young child’s life”?
Fair question. The heroic brother, 8 year old Jaxson Dempsey, credits the WWE part-timer as who taught him the life-saving measure.
Turns out young Jaxson watched a Nickeldeon show known as The Substitute. One episode featured John Cena, and during the episode he showed anyone watching how to do the move.
Fortunately, Jaxson was paying attention. One day, his sister was choking in the back seat of the family car and big brother knew what to do.
For his quick thinking and life-saving move, Jaxson received an award from his school PTA. His local news station even attempted to contact the Suicide Squad star, but thus far, no luck.
It’s pretty awesome to be able to save someone’s life-especially your baby sister’s. How much more awesome would it get if the young fan would get to meet John Cena because of it?
So, in an indirect-but still amazing-way, John Cena saves a young child’s life. These are the good stories we all need from time to time.
It was reported recently that a WWE Hall of Famer was going through some serious medical issues. Now, the Road Dogg responds to fans who have wished him well.
In case you missed it, it was reported previously that Road Dogg suffered a suspected heart attack late last week. His wife broke the news to fans and friends via social media, and had provided updates along the way.
The former Superstar was hospitalized, but things are looking up.
Specifically, Road Dogg’s brother, Scott Armstrong, posted to social media on behalf of his recovering brother.
So, a few things to unpack.
First, excellent news that Road Dogg is recovering and back at home.
Second, the tail end of Scott Armstrong’s post…even as someone is enduring such health issues, social media brings out the worst in some folks.
In the grand scheme of things, fans can simply hope that Road Dogg continues to improve. Eventually, we hope to see him in front of a live audience yet again.
