Harry and Meghan stripped of royal roles

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not be returning as working members of the Royal Family. In addition, Queen Elizabeth stripped her grandson of the honorary titles he was petitioning to be returned to him.

Last year, Harry and Meghan stepped back as working members of the Royal Family when they began a new life in the U.S. And, a 12-month review on their future was launched.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex wanted to have their cake and eat it, too. They didn’t want the responsibilities of being Royals but they wanted the perks.

The couple want the glam of Hollywood along with many of the benefits Buckingham Palace provides while cashing in on the Royal Family.

Queen Elizabeth clapped back at them in a decisive manner that’s sure to leave a mark on their egos.

Harry And Meghan Stripped Of Their Roles

The honorary titles and roles were being held back for a 12-month review following Megxit.

Harry is proud of his years in the military and wanted to retain the honors of having military titles.

The Queen thought otherwise and took them away from the ginger headed prince permanently.

All of the Royal patronage positions are being returned to the Queen for redistribution to working members of the Royal Family.

This includes Meghan Markle’s role as Patron of the National Theatre.

This role was viewed as a prestigious honor as the Queen was the long standing patron before bestowing it upon the Hollywood actress turned Royal.

Now, Markle is being stripped of the honor.

Buckingham Palace Sends Out Statement

Buckingham Palace’s official statement on the matter reads:

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have confirmed to Her Majesty The Queen that they will not be returning as working members of The Royal Family.

Following conversations with The Duke, The Queen has written confirming that in stepping away from the work of The Royal Family it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service. The honorary military appointments and Royal patronages held by The Duke and Duchess will therefore be returned to Her Majesty, before being redistributed among working members of The Royal Family.

While all are saddened by their decision, The Duke and Duchess remain much loved members of the family.

Notes to editors:

Following The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s decision to step away last year as working members of The Royal Family, a 12-month review was agreed.

The military, Commonwealth and Charitable associations which will revert to The Queen are:

The Royal Marines, RAF Honington, Royal Navy Small Ships and Diving.

Harry And Meghan Respond To The Queen

This is reportedly a reaction to Harry and Meghan’s upcoming tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.

“We can all live a life of service. Service is universal.”
