The UFC’s final pay-per-view card of 2020 is taking place today, and after the action wraps up, you can watch the post-fight press conference below.
The road to UFC 256 has been a bumpy one for the UFC, as the card has had several main events fall out. Originally, the card was supposed to welterweight champion Kamaru Usman take on Gilbert Burns, but the champ had to withdraw due to injuries.
A featherweight fight between champion Amanda Nunes and Megan Anderson was then expected to headline, but once again, the champ had to drop out due to injuries. Next, Petr Yan was supposed to defend the bantamweight title against Aljamain Sterling, but Yan had to withdraw as well.
Following Figueiredo’s (20-1) quick, submission win over Alex Perez at UFC 255 last month, the flyweight champ agreed to step-up and battle Moreno (18-5-1) tonight. The latter also fought at UFC 255 and stopped Brandon Royval.
So, since tonight’s bout is taking place just 21 days after the flyweight belt was last defended, the two are setting a record for the fastest, turn-around title fight.
You can catch the post-fight presser for UFC 256 below, which is taking place at the Apex Facility in Las Vegas.
