We wrap up another week with another SmackDown In A Nutshell. This time, we head in wondering, what will happen if the Head of the Table snaps back.
As in, Kevin Owens likely has some more heat coming at him from Roman Reigns.
Roman being the head of the table and all, of course.
With that in mind, we are just a couple weeks away from TLC, and with that, putting the 2020 WWE PPV calendar in the books.
Heck, pretty much putting 2020 in the books, and what a weird year it’s been.
That final PPV is looming, of course. Reigns is set to defend his championship against Owens, giving us one more chance to see what happens when the Head of the Table snaps back.
There’s more to this show, and that one, than all that, of course. Carmella has a returned too, and she’s gunning for Sasha Banks.
Also, in case you cared, this will be the first ThunderDome for the blue brand from Tropicana Field….so there’s that.
With us getting so close to the event, we can expect more TLC hype too, one would think.
Lets crack open this Nutshell and find out!
This is a tough one and for all the wrong reasons.
Most of the matches just weren’t good. Too short, too boring, take your pick.
Of the bad matches, the least bad on this particular Friday? I’ll go with the main event of Sasha Banks and Carmella…but that was a tough one to choose.
Man, there are just too many options here.
If you are really forcing me to just choose one? I’ll say Riott Squad versus Billie Kaye and Natalya…but I really don’t know.
I am going to go with a repeat winner here…
I really have nothing exciting. Maybe Carmella’s use of champagne?
There was a lot to dislike and probably a few jobbers…but this poor guy takes the cake!
None
Well, we had two attacks, and I think they both deserve some love.
Roman Reigns had a moment in the back on Kevin Owens. Tuned up his TLC challenger, and then spoke to the camera to deliver a message to Owens’ family.
Yep, that didn’t make things more intense and personal…
The other would be Carmella’s mostly post-match attack on Sasha Banks, with a little help from her somellier.
Also…holy sh** this show wasn’t much fun. A couple bright spots…but mostly not.
Can one say the entire show was a botch?
No?
Are you sure? Because the entire show felt like a disaster.
OK, maybe it wasn’t that bad…but it wasn’t good. I await the news reports that there were a ton of re-writes or something.
Though, here’s one, and I am sure many had this thought:
Big E is still a funny guy, even without the main roster.
Also, Chad Gable and Otis get a nod too
I’d argue that the biggest item here was that WWE has moved ThunderDome from Orlando to Tampa. Looked the same, might not have even know they moved if it had not been covered in the news.
Too many downer type happenings tonight. Overall, not a great show.
Roman Reigns remains a bright spot, with a nod to Kevin Owens in a supporting role.
I am intrigued as to where WWE might take Otis and Chad Gable…could we see a rebirth of American Alpha? Though, given other reports, who really knows what WWE (read: Vince) thinks of Otis…
While we’ve heard that many are giving credit to Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns for the good work they are putting in…it’s beginning to feel like the rest of the show is lost.
There is talent on the roster, that is certain. But whether it’s bad writing or bad execution or both…too many spots tonight where I wanted to turn it off.
There’s less than 2 weeks till TLC, so WWE needs to fix that issue ASAP.
