Nobody can complain quite like Walter. 2020 has given ventriloquist Jeff Dunham’s grumpy sidekick plenty to gripe about. And he lets it all out in hilarious fashion in Jeff Dunham’s Completely Unrehearsed Last-Minute Pandemic Holiday Special on Comedy Central.
This has been a brutal year. Anything that can go wrong has.
Even Jeff Dunham’s Completely Unrehearsed Last-Minute Pandemic Holiday Special had to be filmed and performed in an unconventional manner because of the pandemic.
His curmudgeonly puppet Walter is not happy about this and it was the focal point of his time on the show.
Walter Gripes About Wearing A Mask To Jeff Dunham
Like most of us, Walter does not like wearing a mask. It’s uncomfortable and strange. There is nothing normal about this brand of new normal.
It’s been such a crummy year that Walter hardly even gripes about his wife as he’s got a laundry list of 2020 complaints to lodge instead.

Walter starts the segment by wearing a mask. Jeff is such a good ventriloquist that he did Walter’s voice with a slight muffle while he had the mask on. As the mask came off he transitioned into Walters regular voice.
One thing that bothers this old curmudgeon greatly is the venue. They are used to performing in front of a large audience.
Because of social distancing, not only was the crowd size about that for a Bar Mitzvah for an unpopular kid, but it also had to be outside.
While it has been a challenging year, there is something to be grateful for.
Jeff Dunham certainly hasn’t fallen to political correctness or the dreaded cancel culture. He knows this all sucks and he’s not afraid to have his puppet voice their frustration.

Walter’s COVID-19 Message
This isn’t Walter and Jeff Dunham’s first pandemic performance. At the beginning of everything last spring, Walter had a special message about COVID-19.
In particular, he was sympathetic to parents who were suddenly forced to homeschool their children.

Walter understands that it’s hard to get your regular work done when you are trying to supervise your children’s school work.
Most parents send their kids to school because teaching wasn’t part of the plan. It’s hard to parent and teach your own you children.
Kids know how to push their parents buttons, making this 2020 assignment even harder.
