Dutch Mantel's bombing joke

Former WWE personality Dutch Mantel’s Nashville bombing joke has upset many wrestling and non-wrestling fans. In other news, Jazz is planning a retirement tour for 2021.

Dutch Mantel’s Inappropriate Nashville Bombing Joke

Dutch Mantel, better known under his former WWE name Zeb Colter, made a really inappropriate and offensive joke.

On Christmas day, a bomb was set off in downtown Nashville. In the end, eight people were seriously injured and the person responsible for the bombing died.

Unfortunately, Dutch Mantel believed this was the right time to make an inappropriate joke on social media.

“The FBI just released a new finding in the Nashville bombing case that the bomber was not targeting the AT&T building. He was aiming for the old TNA offices a couple of blocks away.”

Mantel would eventually delete the post, but then repost it only a few minutes later. This undoubtedly means that Mantel knew the joke was in poor taste.

The joke had plenty of backlash from followers, but also a large portion of non-wrestling fans. One man called Jeremy Moses wrote:

“I’m glad you think this is funny. There are people in that city who are without homes and have their already suffering businesses wrecked, in a city that had an EF-3 tornado cause even more destruction just before a global pandemic. Real classy.”

Needless to say, people are far from impressed with his comments.

Jazz Prepares For 2021 Retirement Tour

Jazz 2021 Retirement Tour

Former WWE wrestler Jazz announced her retirement earlier this year. However, it seems that the indie wrestler is not completely done with in-ring competition just yet.

On the 28th of December, Jazz took to social media to reveal her intentions of having a 2021 retirement tour.

“Well what better time then now to kick off 2021 with bang. Now Accepting Bookings for retirement tour..”

While Jazz already announced her retirement during a Chris Van Vliet interview in October, she did not get a proper farewell. After all, her retirement announcement came in the middle of a pandemic.

It is likely that Jazz is looking for proper closure on her career, which should involve fans in an arena. I for one think it is a great idea she wants to do this retirement tour in 2021.

Will AEW Give Jazz A Shot?

Jazz 2021 retirement tour

We are pretty sure we will not see Jazz in the WWE in the coming year. However, this does not rule out AEW completely.

AEW could use some spice in its women’s division, and what better way to achieve this by giving Jazz some bookings for her 2021 retirement tour?

Jazz has heaps of experience, not to mention she is a role model for other black women in the industry today. Only recently, she spoke out about the lack of opportunities for black women in the division.

In conclusion, Jazz should get the attention she very much deserves. AEW could give her the platform to do just that.

For now, we will have to wait and see if there is an AEW booking in the future for Jazz. We certainly hope so.
