Andrei Arlovski scored a pivotal, and many would likely say, unexpected win at UFC Vegas 13. Not long after, the former heavyweight champ thanked his team and fans in a statement he shared out.
The 41-year-old Arlovski was booked to face Boser in the co-main event of Saturday’s card, in a contest that likely was planned to push the 29-year-old Boser. The latter was coming off impressive, stoppage wins over Philipe Lins and Raphael Pessoa, and his only UFC loss was against fellow prospect, Ciryl Gane.
Some odds makers had Boser as -275 favorite to win the fight.
Well, while the fight was extremely competitive, Arlovski appeared to land the heavier shots, and was awarded the decision win.
Afterward, Arlovski shared out this statement.
It will be interesting to see what comes next for Arlovski. The veteran fighter was coming off a win over the aforementioned Lins heading into UFC Vegas 13, and he’s won there of his last four bouts now.
So, clearly Arlovski still has some gas left in the tank.
