Eva Marie WWE Return

Eva Marie – WWE Return

It has been three years since Eva Marie graced the WWE ring.

However, she remains interested in a possible return to her “home” if it makes sense.

“WWE is my No. 1. My home. My family,” Marie told The Wrap. “They prepared me for all the things I am doing and what I want to do in my career.

“I am forever grateful to the company, to Vince (McMahon), Hunter (Triple H) and Stephanie McMahon.”

As for a potential return to the promotion, Marie said “If it made sense, of course I’d come back home.”

The 35-year-old Marie signed with WWE in 2013, earning a developmental contract and training at the WWE Performance Center. She joined the “Total Divas” program before being promoted to the main roster.

Marie spent time on NXT before rejoining the main roster in 2016. Following a violation of the company’s wellness policy, she began exploring other options.

Marie Moves Into More Entertainment Roles

In 2018, Marie began a podcast with her husband titled “The Natalie Eva Marie Show”. She also made an appearance on “Celebrity Big Brother” last year and became the first ambassador for Monster Energy’s Reign brand.

Marie is in the movie “Hard Kill” alongside Bruce Willis and Jesse Metcalfe, and also the television show “Paradise City”, which is a spinoff of “American Satan”. She also serves as the host of “Faces and Heels”.

“WWE has totally prepared me for TV and film because there are so many moving parts,” she said. “With WWE, not only are you on the road for 290 days, you’re building on top of your character you’re creating, as well as performing live in front of an audience.

“In TV and film, you’re doing the exact same performance from multiple different angles. Walking to the set, I was super prepared because of my WWE background. The stunt guys were fantastic. It’s just like WWE. The teamwork. You get a heel in your face.”

Nigel McGuinness’ Wrestling Future

Nigel McGuinness

Nigel McGuinness is currently sidelined, but WWE plans to bring him back to work in the coming months.

According to a report by PWInsider, McGuinness’ status has yet to be determined in regards to what role he will have, date of his return and to which show.

McGuinness was furloughed along with so many others earlier this year due to the novel coronavirus.

The 44-year-old from London, England was calling NXT with Beth Phoenix and Mauro Ranallo prior to the pandemic. McGuinness also called NXT UK matches.

WWE officials have been using Vic Joseph and Wade Barrett on recent episodes of NXT, but that is not set in stone at this moment either.

During his in-ring career, McGuinness held the Ring of Honor Pure championship a record 350 days. He also held the ROH world title for 545 days.

McGuinness turned to the independent circuit for several years before signing with Total Nonstop Action in 2009. He returned to ROH before signing with WWE in 2016.

Along with his ROH title reigns, McGuinness also won titles in Heartland Wrestling Association, New Breed Wrestling Association, One Pro Wrestling and TNA.
