Recently Paul Craig proposed that he and “Shogun” Rua should throw hands again, and the legend said he’s on board. Now it’s being reported that the UFC has indeed, booked the rematch.
Following Craig’s quick, submission win over Gadzhimurad Antigulov last month, the Scottish fighter relayed he wants to run it back with Rua. The light heavyweights battled to a majority draw last November.
Rua (27-11) competed that same night and earned a split decision win over Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. When the former champ was asked about facing Craig (13-4) again, he also said he’s on board.
Well, now ESPN’s reporting that sources have confirmed Rua – Craig II will take place on November 21st at UFC 255. A venue and location for the event have yet to be determined.
So, when you consider that both fighters called for this bout, and that the first clash was pretty entertaining, this news shouldn’t come as a surprise.
Here is the line-up so far for UFC 255, which is set to feature two title fights. New flyweight champ Deiveson Figueiredo is set to battle former bantamweight champ, Cody Garbrandt. Women’s flyweight champ Valentina Shevchenko will face Jennifer Maia.

Valentina Shevchenko vs. Jennifer Maia

Ariane Lipski vs. Antonina Shevchenko
