Whoopi Slams Trump For Sending Feds To Protect Portland While Local Officials Let City Burn
Whoopi Goldberg blasted President Donald Trump on "The View" for sending federal agents to calm violent riots in Portland, calling it a "planned attack."
On Tuesday’s episode of the ABC talk show “The View”, host Whoopi Goldberg went off on President Donald Trump for sending federal agents to Portland, Oregon to stop the violence that is happening there. What’s more, Whoopi even went so far as to describe Trump’s intercession to protect Portland from violent rioters as “a planned attack on the American people.”
Whoopi Goldberg Criticizes Trump’s Portland Riot Response
Whoopi kicked off the panel discussion by questioning whether Trump even has the authority to send federal agents in to deal with this situation.
Of course, the liberal talk show hosts conveniently downplay the violence and destruction happening in the progressive Oregon city. Total mayhem allowed to go unchecked by its own city officials.
Instead, “The View” hosts further the leftist narrative that President Trump is the bad guy here. Apparently, these rioters in Portland should be allowed to burn buildings and destroy the city as an expression of their feelings.

“Well, you know, I’ve sort of been saying this for a while that everybody needed to pay attention to the little things, you know, to the little things that are being done and, you know, where is — where is Barr?” Goldberg said. “He’s wanted a fight from the beginning, from the moment he came in, he wanted to fight somebody, and now he’s found a way to do it.”

Joy Behar Adds Her Two Cents On Portland Riots
Next, Joy Behar chimed in with her usual anti-Trump nonsense. She then claimed that Trump is playing right into the hands of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
But, of course! On the left, everything points back to Russia.
Not stopping there, Behar also suggested that the only way to stop Trump would be to get rid of the Republicans in the Senate who support him.
“These two are despicable. They need to go also, by the way. People need to vote against Mitch McConnell, Graham, and a few of the others. Get them out.”
Unsurprisingly, Goldberg agreed with her, and the Trump-bashing only got worse from there.
“The bottom line is, people really need to pay attention to this, because this is — this is — we sort of felt it a little bit when we’ve seen other sort of riots break out, we’ve seen them bust out troops, but this is different. This feels different. This feels like a planned attack against the American people,” Goldberg concluded. “It’s very specific and it’s very targeted. People need to pay attention to what’s happening.”
Sunny Hostin Offers Warning About Trump
Cohost Sunny Hostin also had a warning of her own about Trump.
“Every American should be concerned when you have a U.S. president deploying federal troops under the pretext of protecting federal property from vandalism, which essentially is just graffiti, and using that pretext to use violence against people that are protesting, which is our right,” she said. “[There’s] secret police just arresting people in unmarked cars. This is something, as Joy said, this is the beginning of fascism. This is something that you see in dictatorships.”
“This is not America. This is not American. We have to pay attention because we are going down this slippery slope and we have, really, the actions of a dictator.”
So that discussion actually happened – on live TV – in America. No wonder nobody takes “The View” seriously anymore.
