AEW reviving the four horsemen, ric flair responds

In recent weeks, several wrestlers flashed the Four Horsemen sign during AEW Dynamite. Obviously, this is a clear hint the company is thinking about a similar faction.

WWE legend, and and one of the original Four Horsemen, Ric Flair responded to speculation. Fortunately, he does not have a problem with AEW reviving the Four Horsemen.

Ric Flair’s Reaction To AEW Reviving The Four Horsemen

Ric Flair's response to the Four Horsemen sign

In a recent interview with Wrestling Inc., Ric Flair seemed quite excited about the prospect.

“I’d be for it. No matter who does it or how it’s done, it’s attributed to us. To this day, I’ll see Arn and we’ll do a signing now and then and the whole joint walks around with their four fingers up, to this day. If we’re together for a signing, and even if we’re on different sides of the world, the people that come back and forth to get a signature or picture, they’re all doing the same thing.”

I can imagine the sign is a great acknowledgement to Flair and his elaborate career. Of course, it remains to be seen if Ric will have some involvement in the storyline going forward.

Who Will Be The New Four Horsemen?

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler in AEW

The original Four Horsemen were Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham, and Ole Anderson. Two of these original members are currently signed by AEW.

AEW is clearly looking at reviving the group with some of its most powerful and successful members. In recent weeks, the Four Horsemen sign was done by Cody Rhodes, Dax Harwood, and Cash Wheeler.

How, here is the interesting bit. AEW already has two strong factions in the form of The Elite and The Inner Circle.

The Elite has shown some signs of internal dispute in recent weeks, so the arrival of the new Four Horsemen would be incredibly interesting. Of course, it also leaves us speculating about the potential fourth member of the group.

Who Could Become The Fourth Member?

Matt Cardona a.k.a. Zack Ryder may be in for an AEW transfer

We have so many ideas about that it is difficult to pick just one favorite. In fact, two of them might not be at AEW yet.

One of the men we have in mind is none other than Matt Cordano, formerly known as Zack Ryder. Rumor states he is on his way to AEW, and he would be a brilliant addition to the new Four Horsemen.

Another name that could be added to the list is EC3. Since his release from the WWE, EC3 is one of the hottest free agents out there.

While EC3 and Zack Ryder are brilliant options, the fourth member could actually be a member of the current roster. There is plenty of exquisite talent at AEW, so an opportunity could be waiting for them as well.

Do you have a preferred member for the new four horsemen? Is it a member of the existing AEW roster, or do you have your eyes set on a free agent?
