Giga Chikadze Vs. Irwin Rivera

This bout was changed at the last minute as Mike Davis was forced out and replaced by Irwin Rivera to face Giga Chikadze

Chikadze is 9-2 and a member of Kings MMA, while Rivera enters 9-4 and fighting out of the Combat Club.

Lots of kicks by Chikadze in the early going while Rivera fires back with a huge uppercut. Good amount of offense throughout the round with Chikadze doing a little more damage overall.

Seconds into the second, Chikadze connects and drops Rivera. Rivera pops back up only to get dropped again. He’s fighting for survival here but is up and appears somewhat coherent. Very close fight as these two exchange until the very end.

Giga Chikadze def. Irwin Rivera via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Anthony Hernandez Vs. Kevin Holland

It’s been several months since we last saw Anthony Hernandez as he earned a win inside the Octagon to improve to 7-1 overall. Meanwhile, Kevin Holland had his three-fight win streak snapped by Brendan Allen in October to fall to 16-5.

All Kevin Holland needed was an opening and this middleweight contest is all over.

Matt Brown Vs. Miguel Baeza

“The Immortal” Matt Brown is sitting at 11 career knockouts, tied for second most in the UFC and the most in the welterweight division. He “retired” before returning with a dominating performance over Ben Saunders.

Miguel Baeza will be competing in his home state as the unbeaten Florida native earned a second round TKO of his own last October in his UFC debut. He also scored a win on Dana White’s Contender Series.

Huge opportunity for Baeza here against a legend like Brown, who quickly takes control of the Octagon. Brown nearly had this one over less than two minutes in, rocking Baeza.

More huge elbows, a trait of Brown, land to the head but we march on in the first. Brown keeps tying him up and connecting with ease. Out of nowhere, Baeza connects and sends Brown tumbling to the ground.

Baeza with a perfect combination that stunned and eventually dropped Brown. He’s got over a minute to work, controlling his arm and firing away with more shots. This is allowing Brown a chance to recover, though, from the big power shots.

This one is all over as Baeza catches and finishes Brown with a huge shot moments into the start of the second round. Incredible victory for the still unbeaten fighter.

The main card will begin on the next page at the top of the hour.
