Vince McMahon Murder Angle Revealed, WWE Fans Back In June

Vince McMahon Murder Angle Revealed

The WWE has constantly pushed the envelope over the years, especially during the “Attitude Era” for the promotion.

According to Brian Gewirtz, plans were in place for Vince McMahon to actually pull off an on-screen “murder” of the Hornswoggle character.

Gewirtz posted a note on his Twitter account that laid out details of the storyline. McMahon would take Hornswoggle on a ride before tossing him out of the window of his limousine.

On the account, Gewirtz notes that “I don’t know which writer came up with this nearly 13 years ago and I can pretty much guarantee it didn’t make it to Vince but you got to admire someone who swings for the fences.”

The Hornswoggle character, played by Dylan Postl, was revealed to be McMahon’s illegitimate son during one storyline. He also was the Anonymous Raw General Manager over an angle that played out for a year.

During his WWE run as a superstar, Hornswoggle captured the cruiserweight title. He left the promotion in 2016 after he was suspended the year before for violating the company’s Wellness policy.

WWE Fans Back In June

The state of Florida opened its doors to the WWE and other combat sports events recently. And they might be the first to allow fans to attend as well.

During a recent press conference, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis mentioned that it could be as early as this summer that his state allows for events to be held with fans inside.

“There’s a lot of good stuff going on, but I don’t think we’re ready to have fans yet, but I do think if the trends are good I think there is a window to have fans,” he said. “You’re not going to have everyone packed in, but man, in 90-degree weather in Florida and someone is 10 feet away from ya and you want to watch the ballgame or something that maybe something you’re able to do.

“We’re going to be driven by the facts, driven by the data.”

Some reports have indicated that it could be next year before events are opened up to fans. However, if the trends continue on the downward spiral and there are no spikes in the COVID-19 pandemic, we could be back to some sense of normalcy sooner than later.
