With some time to spare until we have live fights again, we are going to take a look back at each division in the UFC during the past decade.
Up first is the big boys: the heavyweight division.
Stipe Miocic is the current champion, working on his second reign atop the weight class. Miocic, of course, won the title with a victory over Daniel Cormier last year at UFC 241.
As mentioned, Stipe Miocic won the gold with a victory over Daniel Cormier at UFC 241 in Anaheim, California on August 17, 2019. His reign currently stands at over 230 days.
Miocic has yet to defend the belt, though, due to both injury, timing and the coronavirus.
The first title for Miocic came in May 14, 2016 at UFC 198 in Brazil when he stunned Fabricio Werdum.
Miocic would defeat three champions, setting the division record with three defenses over Alistair Overeem, Junior dos Santos and Francis Ngannou. His total run spanned 785 days.
He is expected to face Cormier for a third time.
