Kanye West Chick-fil-A Dream Center

Kanye West and Chick-fil-A have teamed up with the Los Angeles Dream Center to serve over 300,000 meals since mid-March to families struggling during this coronavirus pandemic. Dream Center is a Christian nonprofit organization founded in 1994 whose mission is “to connect broken people to a community of support”. Now, the Christian charity is able to take their work to a ‘miraculous’ new level thanks to Kanye and Chick-fil-A.

Kanye West And Chick-Fil-A Step Up

While Kanye and Chick-fil-A may seem like an unlikely team – the rap mogul is a longtime fan of the Christian chicken chain. To the extent that Kanye even gave them a shout out in the song “Closed On Sunday” on his latest album “Jesus Is King”.

Now the faith-motivated duo are teaming up with the LA-based non-profit Dream Center to expand their Christian charity.

Matthew Barnett, Dream Center co-founder, described what they are doing as a “miracle of biblical proportions”. With the duo’s help, Dream Center is providing 11,000 meals a day to America’s second-largest school district.

This huge feat is thanks in part to the help of Kanye and Chick-fil-A. But also a testament to the Christian nonprofit’s dedicated volunteers.

“Every morning I wake up and stand in the parking lot with our dedicated staff, I am blown away that day after day, week after week, there is enough food to provide to folks that need it,” he told Fox News

“The Los Angeles Dream Center has transformed into the Grand Central Station of food distribution and other basic essentials. I’m so grateful that our team has stayed healthy, and that we’ve found a safe way to meet the urgent needs within our community. I can’t say thank you enough to the various donors who’ve made this a reality,” Barnett added.

“This is what a neighborhood, a community, and a church should always look like.”

LA Dream Center Has Been Going Above And Beyond For A Month

The LA-based Dream Center went into action as as soon as the Los Angeles Unified School District closed on March 13.

Each day, the operation is open 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., providing food and essential items to those in need.

Barnett said that partly thanks to West’s support, they were able to expand their drive-thru meals to deliver to vulnerable seniors who need to remain isolated in their homes.

Chick-fil-A has also donated sandwiches every day to help with these efforts. And Anthem Blue Cross has given hundreds of bottles of water.

Kanye And Chick-fil-A Are Both Liberal Targets

Despite their good works, Kanye West and Chick-fil-A continue to take flak for their unapologetically conservative Christian views.

Kanye is known for bucking norms. So the multiplatinum artist certainly strikes a chord between his Christian message and open support of Trump.

And, of course, the colossal chicken chain remains true to their faith-based mission despite any backlash.

God bless both Kanye West and Chick-fil-A for using their platforms to do good in the world.
