Kate Gosselin’s relationship with son 15-year-old Collin is fractured at best, but it might have gotten even more strained after what the teen wrote on an Instagram post for his father Jon’s Birthday. Divorces can be tough, but things typically settle down over the years. However, it’s not that way with Jon and Kate Gosselin of ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8’ fame.
The pair have been battling over custody for years. Collin and Hannah now live with Jon while the other four sextuplets live with Kate. The former couple’s oldest two daughters are now in college.
Kate Sent Collin Away
Kate sent Collin away to a special needs facility several years ago and refused to inform Jon of the location.
The child missed out on many milestones with his siblings as he was shipped off to a place more convenient for Kate. Jon was willing to fight for Collin and eventually gained full custody.
Now, Collin is making it known how much he appreciates that.
On April 1st, the father of eight turned 43. His son wrote on touching tribute on Instagram.
People immediately noticed that Collin proclaimed that Jon is the one who is always there for him. It is a touching birthday wish that very likely caught Kate’s attention and ire.
“Happy Birthday dad!!!! To the coolest most amazing dad, and the one who’s always there for me, the one who’s always had my back, thank you so much and have a great one!!!”
Since Collin moved in with his dad, Jon claims Kate has made it hard for Collin to even see his siblings that live with her.
Not only has so caused friction between herself and her son but she has set up a roadblock between the other sextuplets and him.
It wasn’t bad enough that she sent him away to a facility, but now Jon says she is alienating Collin from his siblings.

No More Reality TV For The Gosselin Kids
As the sextuplets and their two children age, Kate has lost her grip on them.
Over the years, Kate Gosselin gained fame and fortune stemming from the TLC reality shows ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8’ then ‘Kate Plus 8’.
However, a court ruled last year that she could no longer have the children on television without Jon’s approval. And the father of either simply does not approve.

Jon Gosselin doesn’t feel it is healthy for the kids to be under the microscope of reality TV anymore. So Kate’s gravy train has dried up.
