Backstage News On WWE Not Shutting Down

Backstage News Shutting Down

In the days following the decision by WWE officials to part ways with several superstars, an anonymous letter was delivered indicating the promotion was forcing employees to work in unsafe conditions.

The WWE was cleared to resume live filming in Florida after being declared an essential business by the governor. However, not everyone has been on board with the decision, including several superstars.

According to a report by Fightful Select, the WWE insists they are not forcing anyone to work during this current pandemic.

“From what we’ve heard, WWE’s response is actually how things have went there,” the report states. “We’ve heard from multiple employees that they aren’t being forced to work, but also aren’t comfortable with letting the company know they don’t want to, especially after the layoffs.”

The current plan is to produce content on a bi-weekly basis. This limits the risk of spreading the novel coronavirus.

The Anonymous Letter

A letter sent to Orange Country from an anonymous WWE employee, states that they cannot speak up for fear of being released or fired. Also, they are being forced to ignore the social distancing plans.

The next major WWE show is scheduled for May 10 with Money in the Bank. It was originally set for Baltimore and the Royal Farms Arena.

In a first, WWE will be taping the ladder matches from their Connecticut office. Therefore, the ladder matches will be unique.

We still do not if the entire pay per view will take place from Connecticut. More likely than not, WWE books most of the matches from their Performance Center.

Major Storyline Dropped

Rusev, Lana and Bobby Lashley

After making it seem as if there would be a split between on-screen husband and wife couple Bobby Lashley and Lana, things could be changing for the two.

In addition, on the recent edition of RAW, Lashley displayed his incredible physical strengths by flipping a tire. When Lana showed up to bask in the achievement, the two seemed to have no troubles between them.

Lashley looked to have blamed Lana for his loss at WrestleMania 36 to Aleister Black and other troubles inside the ring in recent weeks. Fans saw plenty of complaining between the two superstars.

However, in a post on his Twitter page, Lashley showed himself and Lana with the caption “A feat of strength that can only be described as ALL MIGHTY!”

During the post-WrestleMania RAW, Lashley was interviewed, saying “Something tells me I need new management….or a new wife.” Lana walked in after he left the segment, asking what the former champion had said.

Lana, meanwhile, has been enjoying her time on social media. In conclusion, Lana’s pushing the stay-at-home theme of the coronavirus.

Despite Rusev being released by WWE, Lana managed to keep the moment an angle. WWE has been brining back released talent, so perhaps Rusev appears on TV.
