The Crocodile Hunter’s daughter is marrying her longtime boyfriend, Chandler Powell. Bindi’s younger brother, Robert, will walk her down the aisle. Shortly after her engagement began, Bindi posted a note on Instagram to her father.

In 2006, The Crocodile Hunter died in a tragic accident involving a stingray. It was a shock to his fans as so many of us saw him as invincible. His wife Terri was suddenly a widow and young Bindi and Robert were forced to grow up without their father.
At his funeral, a young Bindi Irwin memorialized her amazing father. It was a touching moment for those of us who watched. I remember the tears flowing freely.
Steve only had a few short years with his daughter, but his love for her is everlasting as she demonstrated in the video below.
Bindi’s Wedding To American Chandler Powell
In a recent interview, Terri discussed the couple’s wedding plans. Bindi and Robert always find ways to honor their father. Their work with animals and conservation is evidence of that.
And so it’s natural that they plan to incorporate their Crocodile Hunter dad Steve into Bindi’s wedding too.
Bindi will marry her American fiancé Chandler Powell at Steve Irwin’s beloved Australia Zoo, making this day even more special.
“We want to acknowledge Steve by all of us lighting this candle for him, but you know, I guess in some way it’s not necessary because Steve will be there anyway,” Terri stated.
“I believe the people we love always are [with us]. You know, if you are missing someone, I think it’s helpful to know that scientifically you can’t actually create or extinguish life, you can only change its form,” she continued. “So if you are grieving someone you loved very much, look to science and just remember that when you boil the kettle and steam comes out, it doesn’t mean the water has gone.”
