Joy Behar Launches Vile Attack On Rush Limbaugh Weeks After He Was Diagnosed With Stage IV Lung Cancer

Joy Behar sank to a despicable new low this week when she mocked conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh’s previous struggles with addiction to pain medication, telling him to “take a pill” during a segment on ABC’s “The View.”

On Wednesday, the ladies of the ABC talk show “The View” said that Limbaugh has been downplaying the threat posed by the coronavirus and even speculated that it is being “weaponized” to take down President Donald Trump.

“He needs to take a pill and keep quiet,” Behar said callously.

Not only is Limbaugh a former pill addict, but he is also currently fighting Stage IV lung cancer, as he revealed to his fans a few weeks ago.

“So, I have to tell you something today that I wish I didn’t have to tell you. It’s a struggle for me because I had to inform my staff earlier today,” Limbaugh said on his show. “I can’t help but feel that I’m letting everybody down. The upshot is that I have been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer.”

I don’t know about you – but that seems like an awfully cheap shot by Behar. You’d think the well-paid ABC cohost would consider exercising some decorum whole on the datyime talk show.

Joy Behar Then Goes After Trump

Limbaugh wasn’t the only person the liberal cohost targeted in this segment. Next, Joy Behar went after President Donald Trump.

“In 2018, the CDC had to cut 80 percent of its efforts to prevent global disease outbreaks because Trump wanted to use his money to build his wall … Let that sink into your heads as you’re sneezing around town,” Behar said.

Cohost Meghan McCain, however, was not having any of it. She pointed out how despicable it is that Behar is trying to politicize the coronavirus, which has the potential to kill countless people.

“I prefer not to politicize when people are dying in this way because it really is tragic,” McCain said.

Behar’s Attack On Limbaugh Was Shameful

If a conservative had mocked a liberal television or radio personality for addiction, all Hell would break loose. That the conservative would likely be fired and publicly shamed. But since Joy Behar is a liberal going after a conservative like Rush Limbaugh, she’ll likely face no media or industry backlash whatsoever.

Of course, Behar isn’t known to exercise the best judgement when tackling a topic. She’s historically tactless.

Still, Behar has said a lot of terrible and ignorant things in her time, but this attack on Limbaugh crosses the line. Shame on her for mocking the addiction of a 69 year-old man who is currently fighting for his life against Stage IV cancer.
