Eric Trump Pitt

When Brad Pitt won Best Supporting Actor at the 2020 Academy Awards on Sunday night for his work in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, he shamelessly used his Oscars speech to attack Republicans. Now, Eric Trump is firing back at the A-list star in a big way.

Eric Trump Roasts Brad Pitt

President Donald Trump’s second son, Eric, blasted Brad Pitt on Instagram, describing the actor as a “smug elitist” and blaming him for the Oscars’ low ratings, Fox News reported.

“Probably because Americans don’t liked to be preached to by smug elitists. The elegance has been lost and America has tuned these people out of their homes,” Eric wrote alongside a Fox Business graphic showing Pitt onstage with a caption about the Oscars’ ratings being an all-time low.

Brad Pitt Gets Political In Oscars Speech

This comes after Pitt decided to get political in his Best Supporting Actor acceptance speech. The 56-year-old Oscar winner attacked Republican Senators who voted against Democrats’ requests that new witnesses be called in Donald Trump’s Senate impeachment trial.

“They told me I only have 45 seconds up here, which is 45 seconds more than the Senate gave John Bolton this week,” Pitt said. “I’m thinking maybe Quentin [Tarantino] does a movie about it. In the end, the adults do the right thing.”

An average of just 23.6 million viewers tuned into this year’s Oscars on Sunday. Making 2020 the smallest audience by far to watch the televised awards show. This should come as little surprise, given the fact that Americans have come to expect entertainment awards shows like the Oscars to be little more than blatant liberal lectures from members of the Hollywood elite.

Social Media Users Agree With Eric Trump

Many social media users made it clear that they agree with Eric Trump’s assessment of Brad Pitt.

“I loved the movie but he just had to go there….disappointing,” one Instagram user said of Pitt. Another added, “These people have lost so many who used to like them. We want movies, NOT their political opinion. I will no longer go watch many of their movies. They have lost 1/2 their fans.”

“Quit supporting these ‘actors’ with your dollars,” a third user wrote. “I do not watch any of them. I especially would not waste my time one the constant award shows. Pat me on the back for pretending to be someone else. Really.”

If Hollywood stars want us to start watching their awards shows again, they should leave the politics at the door. Nobody likes being lectured about politics, especially by liberal elites who have no idea what they’re talking about.
