Tim Tebow Weds Miss Universe – Their Wedding Photos Show Pure Joy

Tim Tebow has officially tied the knot. The quarterback turned professional baseball player, who proudly wears his Christianity on his sleeve, is now the husband of a former Miss Universe. Tim Tebow said his vows to Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters in the bride’s homeland of South Africa in a stunning wedding ceremony. The couple’s joy emanates from their wedding pictures.

The 32-year-old athlete was searching for the perfect bride and he insists it was all worth the wait as he has found his perfect match. His 24-year-old bride, Demi Nel-Peters, is a South African model and former beauty queen who was crowned Miss Universe 2017. This is proof that sometimes the good guys do win!

“We’re so aligned in what matters most to us and we get along so well,” Tebow said when he announced his engagement to Nel-Peters. “She’s so incredibly special … I almost can’t even put it into words.”

“I’ve been waiting my entire life for someone special, who I can spend the rest of my life with. I was waiting for the right person to come along,” Tebow said. “And now I’m marrying Demi. I can’t wait to see what our future holds. All of my dreams have come true. It was 100 percent worth the wait.”

The bride and bridesmaids wore dresses from David’s Bridal. Appropriately, the new Mrs. Tebow is a spokesman for the bridal store chain.

The beauty pageant queen shared a video from the extravagant rehearsal dinner where the couple was surrounded by many people who love and support them.

The Tebows had around 250 guests at their Cape Town wedding which featured a color palate comprised of white, gold and green. They had a half hour ceremony at sunset at the La Paris Estate in Cape Town

Later, the former quarterback shared a picture on his Instagram page that highlighted the joy he was feeling about finally marrying the woman he loves.

When guests arrived for the dinner, a smoke machine blew red smoke to add to the ambiance. Both American and South African cuisine was served to honor the traditions and customs of both the bride and the groom. The groom had his own wedding cake, a keto-friendly cheesecake so he can stick to his diet.

In the past, Tebow was mocked for saying he was going to follow Hebrews 13:8 and “honor the marriage bed” by saving sex for marriage. This made dating challenging in the modern era, but the wait was obviously worth it.
