NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell Says League Has ‘Moved On’ From Colin Kaepernick

Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick got some bad news this week when NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell indicated that his chances of ever playing professional football again are now next to zero.

Goodell Says NFL Has ‘Moved On’ From Kaepernick

Fox News reported that while talking to reporters at the league’s winter meetings in Irving, Texas, Goodell discussed Kaepernick’s infamous workout last month for NFL teams.

The special showcase was meant to give Kaepernick a chance to show off his skills for all of the NFL teams in the league in the hopes of being signed again. But things went off the rails when the former quarterback changed the location of the workout at the last minute, relocating away from the facility he and NFL officials had agreed to use.

“This was about creating an opportunity. We created that opportunity. It was a unique opportunity, a credible opportunity, and he chose not to take it. I understand that,” Goodell said.

“We’ve moved on,” he added, which suggests that NFL teams are now no longer considering Kaepernick for future roster openings or workouts.

Kaepernick’s Infamous NFL Workout

Kaepernick had wanted the media to attend his November workout, but the NFL did not want the press to be there.

Taking matters into his own hands, Kaepernick switched up the location at the last second so that reporters could attend anyway.

While 25 out of 32 teams in the league sent representatives to Atlanta to attend the initial event, only eight were able to make it to the new location.

No offers have been made to Kaepernick in the weeks since the workout.

Kaepernick made headlines during the 2016 season when he began taking a knee during the national anthem. The pre-game stunt while while still playing for the 49ers was a protest against ‘racial inequality’ in the United States.

Millions of Americans were offended by this because they saw it as a blatant sign of disrespect toward the American flag. And to those who have fought and died for it.

Kaepernick Loves Playing The Victim

Kaepernick left his contract with the 49ers at the end of the 2016 season. Since then, he has not been signed by another team.

Liberals have since turned Kaepernick into a martyr of sorts. They claim the QB has not been resigned because the NFL is “racist.”

Others, however, are quick to remind them that Kaepernick led the 49ers to a pathetic losing record in 2016. So maybe it’s a shortage in football talent that keeps him unsigned.

We’re glad to see that the NFL has ‘moved on’. And we hope this means they are officially done with Kaepernick.

Especially since last month they went out of their way to cater to him. Sending a message that there was never a racist vendetta against him in the first place.

Kaepernick, of course, repaid the NFL by showing that he is far more interested in continuing to play the role of race-baiting victim than he is in ever playing professional football again.

It’s time for the NFL to stop giving Kaepernick any kind of relevancy. He made his bed, and now he can lie in it, wallowing in his own self-created victimhood.
