Despite his close friendships with Triple H, Randy Orton and Ric Flair and several others, Batista will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame next year by Fit Finlay.
The former world champion revealed on Twitter his decision, stating that he would be honored by Finlay doing the honors.
“I owe a lot to all those names mentioned and many more,” Batista wrote, “but for personal reasons I’ve personally requested that (Finlay) induct me into the WWE HOF. I’m sure that anyone who knows Fit Finlay will not question my request.”
Batista will be part of the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame class that also includes the NWO with Hulk Hogan, Sean Waltman, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. The event takes place Thursday, April 2 2020 from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida as part of WrestleMania 36 weekend.
It would appear as if not everyone in the WWE is happy with the decision by FOX to bring CM Punk in as a regular on WWE Backstage.
Punk posted on social media that he was intrigued by a loser keeps Lana match between Rusev and Bobby Lashley. The two heavyweights have been embroiled in a feud for the past several weeks.
Taking it a step further, Punk would like to see Lana suspended high above the ring. And while some thought the match sounded good, Lana was not one of them, taking issue with Punk’s use of the word “chica.”
“I know you’ve been away from WWE for several years,” she wrote on Twitter. “Perhaps moving forward, you will favor WWE and FS1 by refraining from misogynistic comments like ‘chica.’ Thank you.”
