Bray Wyatt Vs. Brock Lesnar Or Roman Reigns, Kairi Sane’s Future

Talk Of Asuka And Kairi Sane Leaving WWE

Right now, there are rumors floating around about the WWE Women Tag Team Champions. There is speculation that Asuka and Kairi Sane could be leaving WWE in a matter of months.

During the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer addressed those rumors. He mentioned that Asuka does not seem to be going anywhere, but he could not say the same for Sane. He mentioned how the 31 year old has shown interest in exploring other options.

Both women were part of NXT before joining the main roster. Asuka went undefeated in NXT and only left after vacating the title to pursue challengers from RAW and SmackDown. She won the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble Match, but after her streak was ended by Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34, the push quickly ended.

As for Sane, she won the first Mae Young Classic and would eventually be one of the few people to defeat Shayna Baszler for the title. It was a short title reign, but Sane also won several NXT awards in 2018 for her performances.

As of now, the two have been feuding with Becky Lynch and Charlotte.

Rumored WrestleMania 36 Matches For “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt

With “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt now Universal Champion, people are already looking towards future opponents. Many believe he will defeat Daniel Bryan at Survivor Series and actually hold the belt until at least WrestleMania 36.

As for possible opponents on the grandest stage of them all, Melzter mentioned on the Wrestling Observer Radio how Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns are the top candidates.

“Brock is stuck with Paul [Heyman] and because of Brock, Paul and Vince [McMahon] it is always planned out in advance. We probably should be seeing hints of whatever [Lesnar’s direction] is pretty soon. I’m still thinking it might be Bray Wyatt although they’re different brands. Maybe that’s out of the question, but maybe it’s not. Even if it is out of the question today, it might not be out of the question in a month.”

“If ratings go down then what decisions will they make at that point? They’re building Bray up for somebody. It certainly isn’t Daniel Bryan. It’s certainly not The Miz. I don’t think it’s Strowman. It might be Roman. I mean it could be Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania.”

“Those could be the two. I’d say it’s Bray Wyatt against either Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar.”

Being on different brands is certainly an issue, but WWE has been known to flex the rules to book matches. Reigns vs. Wyatt has been done before, but Lesnar would be a new opponent. Plans can always change, but the Royal Rumble should give fans a pretty good idea of where WWE is headed.
