Dave Chappelle

Dave Chappelle is singlehandly taking on the PC police with his new Netflix special “Sticks and Stones,” – and he’s winning. Hollywood critics have essentially declared war on the comedian for telling jokes about their protected classes and pet projects. But, Chappelle has scored a big win with audiences who have spurned the critics by rating him at 99% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Rotten Tomatoes collects scoring from both professional critics and average Joes who watch solely for entertainment. The scoring differences between the Hollywood elite and the public highlight a huge rift in what it means to be funny. Only 17% of the Hollywood critics on Rotten Tomatoes had a favorable view of “Sticks and Stones”. Regular people, on the other hand, absolutely loved it.

Hollywood Run By PC Police

Hollywood wants to water down comedy as not to hurt anyone’s feelings. But, a comedian like Dave Chappelle doesn’t follow those rules. He is an equal opportunity offender. He makes fun of everyone and doesn’t believe in a protected class during a stand up routine. RELATED: Dave Chappelle Doesn’t Believe Michael Jackson Accusers – Defends Louis C.K.

This big divide should be a wake up call for the Hollywood elites that they don’t speak for us and are generally out of touch when it comes to determining what is funny. The mainstream media jumped all over Chappelle with their criticism as well – branding his comedy ‘cruel’ and ‘lazy, shock value’. Comedy should not be sanitized and monitored by the leftwing “woke” police.

Chappelle got blowback from his previous Netflix special because of his jokes about transsexuals. He took these comments to heart and decided to double down on his straightforward brand of humor. He wasn’t going to let the thought police dictate his humor.

Hollywood has been working hard to try to shame us into supporting the left-wing agenda, but it’s not working. Donald Trump’s election is proof of that. No matter how much they tried to influence our votes, they just couldn’t do it. Now, they are trying to railroad Dave Chappelle and they are failing. RELATED: Taylor Swift’s Dad Deletes His Facebook After Fans Shame Him for Being Republican

Chappelle’s “Sticks and Stones” Takes On Jussie Smollett

Critics are using their same tired lines to skewer “Sticks and Stones.” Calling it “transphobic” and “out of touch” has only emboldened Chappelle and likely raised his profile even more among viewers who are raving about the show and watching it multiple times.

One of the funniest parts of Chappelle’s latest special was when he took on Jussie Smollett. Chappelle exposed the fact that the press and others coddled the gay actor while it was pretty obvious that he made up the whole story of being attacked by Donald Trump supporters in Chicago when it was 16 degrees below zero. You can enjoy that clip in the video below, but be aware that the language is not safe for work or little eyes!
