Reason Behind Last-Minute SD LIVE Changes This Week, Revival Tease AEW Jump

– According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, SmackDown was re-written mere hours before the show was broadcast live this week. In fact, the second hour of the show was being re-worked during SD LIVE’s first hour. Yikes! The reason? Vince McMahon didn’t believe the writers had done a sufficient job following up on the momentum from last week’s show, and he also didn’t feel as if they had properly built up SummerSlam within the episode.

Therefore, the show was re-written at the umpteenth hour, which is an ongoing trend at times, as of late. Having said that, SmackDown LIVE did have some incredible highlights within the show and ended with a huge bang after Roman Reigns was attacked by an unknown person.

– The Revival’s Scott Dawson has the WWE Universe buzzing on social media about an AEW jump once again, after posting a tweet that involves WWE Hall of Famer, and former employee for the company, Arn Anderson.

Dawson was responding to a fan tweet, about Double A, but the post has raised a few eyebrows. See tweet below:

If fans can recall, Anderson was released from his behind-the-scenes role with the WWE earlier in 2019, and many are expecting to see him work with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) soon. Double A also has a podcast in the works with the founder of Starrcast, Conrad Thompson, that is set to debut sometime this year.

According to past reports, the Revival re-signed with the WWE this year, for a contract that extends to April 2020. While there was some speculation they could jump ship to AEW, this did not end up happening. The Revival enjoyed a run as RAW Tag Team Champions; however, they dropped these titles to the OC recently, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, who have also just re-signed with the WWE.
