Reason For Dolph Ziggler Teaming With Robert Roode

On RAW, new contenders emerged for the Tag Team Championships. WWE held a tag team turmoil match, which saw Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode get the win. What was most impressive had to be the fact that Monday was the first time they teamed together.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, RAW Executive Director Paul Heyman decided to pair Ziggler & Roode together. Heyman is a fan of Roode and wants him to be better presented in WWE. The match was designed to help get Roode out of the bottom of the barrel.

Roode quickly won the NXT World Championship after leaving Impact Wrestling. He would drop the title and join the main roster with a slight push as he briefly held the United States Championship and was later tag champs with Chad Gable. Plus, he won the 24/7 Championship for about an hour.

By winning, Ziggler & Roode will now challenge Seth Rollins & Braun Strowman for the titles at Clash of Champions. It seems like Rollins & Strowman will not have a lengthy title run, so we could see new champions on September 15.

Sting Wants Braun Strowman And/Or ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt

Despite turning 60 earlier in the year, Sting still believes he has one match left in the tank. In the past, he mentioned the name Undertaker as an opponent; which is something fans wanted 20 years ago. During Starrcast III, the WWE Hall of Famer reveled another two names he wants to face in Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt.

Seeing how Sting is not medically cleared by WWE due to injuries sustained in his final match against Seth Rollins, his days of competing inside a wrestling ring are likely done.

Strowman would make for an interesting choice as he could his power to dictate a match with Sting doing little work. As fo Wyatt, he has been on fire since The Fiend was introduced. Strowman is currently busy challenging for the Universal Championship and there are rumors that The Fiend is not far behind.

Sting will always be the face of WCW and one of the most popular wrestlers of all time, but his time is over. Let a new batch of wrestlers enter the fray as they try to became the next Steve Austin or John Cena.
