Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton are being applauded for flying with their three children on a budget flight. The cost of the flight for the Cambridge Family of five probably set them back $446 in total. The future King of England and his family sat in the front row of the plane which provided them some added security and privacy.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Criticized for Excessive Use of Private Jets
This provides a stark contrast to the use of private jets that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have taken that cost around 20 thousand dollars a pop. The newlyweds took a beating in the media since they boarded four private jets in just eleven days. The couple claim to be climate change activists and their elite flying habits are not only an expensive burden to taxpayers but also expose the hypocrisy of those who burn fuel like addicts while insisting regular people reduce their carbon footprint. Kate and William Regularly Fly on Commercial Planes
Some people suspected that William and Kate were trolling the Duke and Duchess of Sussex by taking an inexpensive flight at a time when Harry and Meghan were being lambasted for their excessive use of private jets. But, this isn’t something new for the Cambridges. Princess Diana regularly took commercial jets. Although William obviously uses private jets at times, he also follows in his mother’s footsteps in this regard by flying with common folk, as the tweet below details.

Kate and William took their children on the FlyBe flight from Norwich to Aberdeen so they could spend time with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip at Balmoral. While much of the defense of Harry and Meghan’s use of private jets relies on the need for security, William and Kate just proved that Royals can still fly safely on commercial flights. William and all three of his children are ahead of Harry in line for the throne and they safely “slummed” it on an inexpensive budget flight. The Cambridges obviously were whisked away by security and their drivers from the runway shortly after their plane landed in Aberdeen. It all worked out without drama being caused to the other passengers. Diana would be proud of her oldest son for flying among common people. Although her boys obviously grew up in the lap of luxury, she wanted them to experience firsthand how the rest of us live.
