Pop star Justin Bieber shared clips of him singing at church during what he described as a “hard season” in his life.
Despite Bieber choosing to follow his passion for music into international superstardom, he’s admittedly dealt with depression in part as a result.
Bieber revealed in an interview in February that he was dealing with depression. Several sources confirmed to outlets that he was seeking appropriate treatment. But, Bieber also understands that leaning on his faith in God is also essential.

In a post on Instagram, Justin Bieber, 25, expressed how leaning on God and his faith helps him.
“Sang at church last night. God is pulling me through a hard season,” he wrote. “Having trust in Jesus at your worst times is the absolute hardest. But he is faithful to complete what he started.”
He went on to reference a verse from the Book of James which says to, “count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
“I also want to thank my wife for being such a huge support in my life through this season,” Bieber wrote, thanking his wife, Hailey Baldwin Bieber. “It says in the bible count it ALL JOY when you face trials of various kinds.”
A lot of outsiders look at successful people who are depressed and wonder what they have to feel down about. And Bieber acknowledged that thinking about his blessings makes him wonder the same.
“Sounds insane considering when u face trials u feel terrible,” he continued. “But if we are grateful and worship [G]od for what we do have in that season there is so much power in that.”
“Whatever pain you are going through just keep telling yourself THIS WONT LAST! Love you guys we in this together,” he encouraged.

Bieber’s wife, Hailey, 22, who watched most of his performance backstage, replied lovingly. Showing the support Bieber is so grateful for, she said “So proud of who [you] are.”
Other celebrities offered love and encouragement.
“Love you. Always praying for you. [You’re] a good man,” Patrick Schwarzeneggar replied.
Patrick’s sister, Katherine, married outspoken Christian actor Chris Pratt in June.
In a celebrity world where those who struggle with their mental health along with fame by self-destructing, it’s wonderfully refreshing to see Justin Bieber dealing with it in a healthy way. His openness about what he’s going through will likely help more people than he can ever know.
